The Senate on Tuesday confirmed a director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, ending a nearly two-year standoff in Congress and putting the new agency on sounder legal footing.

Democrats overcame long-held Republican objections to approve Richard Cordray's nomination to head the bureau, which was created by the 2010 Dodd-Frank Wall Street reform law.

Bureau advocates and consumer law experts said Senate confirmation clears up a number of questions, including Cordray's legal status as the temporary bureau director and the agency's authority to oversee certain financial sectors such as debt collection.

I can't argue with what you wrote...and given that, it looks pretty bleak for the country to have any resemblance of a free and sovereign nation much longer....it's pretty much on the trajectory of falling further than most realize....and what isn't already falling will be taken down with the OB Administration....as the Republicans stand by and twiddle-de-dee, twiddle-dee-dum....... Worse....the next election isn't going to stop it IMO.

After the news of the rino’s surrender last night, I dropped a quick email to my senator.

I asked him why I should bother voting at all if the GOP cooperates in the destruction of our republic? Obama nominated radical, evil leftists. That CFPB, like the Death Panel, is an unconstitutional entity whose enabling legislation places it outside of congressional control. Even its funding is not up to congress.

So, to my knowledge, when the rats had top to bottom control 2009-2010, they set up at least two tyrannical entities worthy of any communist nation. Give them total power again, and they will go into overdrive to create more unaccountable commissariats.

Last night represented once again, let's-make-a-deal capitulation by the GOP to tyranny.

Why should anyone condone their charade of pretend constitutional governance with ones vote?

The hardest thing to do in this country these days as a patriot is to not give up. I wept openly after the last election, took down the flag I had up since 9/11 and went up on the the ledge. It took some time and a good wife but I’m off the ledge because good people will make a choice between surrendering on their knees or fighting on their feet and the good people such as yourself are on their feet. Stay focused stay tough stay on their ass.....
