Israeli Knesset Member Danny Danon (Likud) said that enough is enough in response to the news.Really? Well, enough talk is enough, KM Danon. When is your government going to take action?

How long is Israel going to put up with this krap?!
To: Former Fetus
This will only end when Jews attack the Muslims with overwhelming force and cause mass injuries, even of Israeli police as well. They need a good 10,000 to bum rush the Nazi pigs infecting holy ground and remove them for good.

The Orthodox Jews should make a clear declaration.
If Israel is ever attacked again by any Muslim army, the al-Asqa mosque in Jerusalem will be razed. It will be gone, and gone for good. There will never again be a mosque on that site, and all traces of it ever having been there will be removed.

The Dome of the Rock, another religious structure situated on the Temple Mount, is built over one of the Jewish Temples, I'm not sure if it's the First or the Second. Under the A.A. mosque, there is archeological evidence of Jewish ritual baths where people immersed themselves before entering the Temple. The Arabs have been trying to obliterate the glaring evidence that this has been Jewish real estate for thousands of years by paving over ancient mosaic floors, bulldozing away and then dumping into garbage dumps priceless archeological artifacts, making unauthorized gross structural changes to the area which destroyed Jewish archeological treasures, etc. There is an Israeli archeological group called the Temple Mount Sifting Project. Busloads of tourists to Israel (myself included) are brought here to help in the project. You take a bucket of gravel retrieved from the city dumps where the Arabs dishonorably dumped the precious stuff. You spread it out on a sieve table and carefully rinse it with water from the hose provided, then sift through it with your hands, examining every single thing. I myself found 1,000 y.o. Byzantine pottery and some ancient glass. Other people in the group found ancient coins. It was just fascinating!
This article contains an excellent explanation:

My point is, if the A.A. mosque were razed, it might further damage Jewish archeological traces. They'd have to raze it with teaspoons and toothbrushes. But I'm sure there would be plenty of volunteers to work on that project.

Yeah, because none of that land is Arab land! It all belongs to the descendants of Isaac!

Yes, but this land can’t be claimed by Arabs. They have been putting the Temple in the wrong place for years. I find this quit funny.

There’s nothing holy or sacred about the temple mount. God’s glory no longer rests in temples or relics made of human hands: it rests in those who believe in His Son.

question: wasn’t the third temple the one built by Herod the Great? The first by Solomon, the second rebuilt after the exile and the third by Herod?

wasnt the third temple the one built by Herod the Great?Good question! Actually Herod's Temple was a renovation/expansion of the Temple built by the Jews returning from Babylon, so it is still considered to be the second Temple.
