It was noted that many black people followed the trial on TV intensely, far more than most white people. And what isn’t being said is that many of the black people *agreed* with the jury.
Black on black crime matters most to black people, and they will agree that young black men frighten them, not just everyone else. They did not see Trayvon as “one of us”, but one of those wild, dangerous, young men, who threaten everyone. There is no great embrace of “gangstas” by anyone who isn’t a gangsta.
So when the race pimps and self appointed “black leaders” come forward, there is only a limited number of black people supporting them. And this is why riots are few and far between.
Just as importantly, Hispanics and Latinos have been *very* quiet about this whole deal. Watching and learning. They saw who supported Zimmerman, as well as who wants to crucify him. This may figure into future elections.
If they figure that Democrats will sacrifice Hispanics-Latinos on the altar of black America, it may cost the Democrats a lot of H-L votes.
