Willing to be corrected by one who knows otherwise, but it was my impression that prosecutors are openly for the victim’s family. Those in the OJ case were openly for the Browns and the Goldmans. That they don’t hide it but make it obvious to everyone. In this case the victim is considered to be TM, because his known shooter was the defendant GZ. Corey is the overall in charge of this case, having been (ugh!) appointed by Rick Scott to that role. It surprises me not at all that she would sit with TM’s mother, for reasons just stated. So I don’t know what there is to discuss about her doing that. ?

Conflict of interest and jury/jurist influence. This is purely a “Chicago” style intimidation. I would make that part of my appeal if I were MOM.

Since the State is charging someone with a violent crime, it is not inappropriate for the state attorneys to side with the “victim’s” family. In the State’s view, a crime has been committed. It would be odd for the prosecution NOT to side with the family.....that’s why they brought the charges....to get justice.
