What is wrong with everyone this morning? The nasty is getting ugly!

Regardless of this verdict, something needs to change so that self-defense cases are better protected from undue outside influences like this.

Maybe if the issue of self-defense has been raised, and there is a minimal amount of supporting evidence to support that possibility, then any decision over whether or not to bring charges should be made by some kind of a grand jury. Based on what's happened in this case, we need something in place to protect those engage in reasonable self defense, with or without a firearm.

The timeline indicates that from the time that TM bought his Skittles and watermelon drink to the time that GZ’s call to the Sanford PD non-emergency line was just over 45 minutes. So, he took 45 minutes to walk a distance of approximately 0.8 miles.

Hopefully they are taking their time because they want to convey to the public that they are making a reasoned decision based on the evidence —

No problem. Usually I do, but didn't feel it completely necessary this time because I was addressing the subject fully in my own reply; specifically that "No way anyone with good sense would want to be profiled as a vigilante cop wannabe because they belonged to neighborhood watch."

Will do better next time.
