Could the jury question(s) be ,”whats the sentence for manslaughter?”
I seriously doubt he is thinking about the last presidential election.
Judge says jury ordered dinner offers sides one hour break. West says let's wait a few in case jury responds. Judge agrees, 15 minute recess.
Mark Njame on CFNews 13 notes prosecutor John Guy looks like a nervous wreck after being so confident yesterday.

The Saturday evening 5:30 eastbound train is getting ready to leave.
And another break.
Good thing AMC has been showing all the Death Wish movies back-to-back all day. Need something to put me in a good mood...
Bless your heart, it is a very trying time. God is here no matter what happens. He still guides this ship even tho it seems like those of us who cry out to Him have not been heard lately. We know He does hear even if things do not go our way in this trial. Stay under Gods wing....I know you will.
That lawyer is a liberal.
Wasn't that something. I think you are right. She just wanted to get on with eating.
I don’t recall the fact that they are not allowed to know the sentence for manslaughter being in the jury instructions.
So maybe they don’t know that that is a verboten question.
Let’s see if they ask it.
It could be one juror not wanting acquittal. The others could be working one step at a time to get them to see the light. We don’t know. But I remain encouraged
Point well taken.
I have read numerous FReepers saying they have heard BOTH coming from Z. BOTH, your honor, and, yes sir. I have definitely heard the “yes sir”. No doubt in my mind what I heard. The two do not sound alike when you try to run them off quickly one after another. They just don’t. This was discussed at some length on prior days’ thread.
i don’t understand why the jury can’t know what the sentencing is. that’s a huge deal.
If, say they think it’s only a few years they might not see it as a big deal and go for that because at least he doesn’t walk away clean. “he did something, give him a few years”
if they know it’s 30 yrs or something like that that could change the calculus.
Just like on election night, at 8 and after the first returns came in, I went to dinner because I did not want to see the result.
I will read it in the AM in the paper. It is not going to be good for GZ.
Manslaughter is an automatically included lessor charge to 2nd degree murder in Florida. The Florida Supreme Court stand jury instructions include it. The Prosecution may ask to have the lessor charge excluded. They did not. The Defense asked to have it stricken from the jury instructions. The Prosecution argued for it. Manslaughter instructions were not unexpected by the Defense.
Playing tricks on us the video comes in and goes out!
SHe was just on fox, mousy brown hair....if I see her again, I;ll grab her name for you. BUt, she was really confident that Acquittal was off the table.
The main charge of 2nd degree murder is off the table to these jurors, based upon their focused question. Now it remains to be seen if they can agree on the self defense aspect and acquit George. The Police Chief at the time of the incident, after reviewing the input from his detectives and looking at the evidence concluded George did a righteous shoot. I can only hope these six women see that reality also. Their question indicates to my old mind that they are eliminating obstructions to reaching a not guilty on all charges verdict.
No matter what, this is not good. I will repeat, all they want to know is if they ignore all the facts and evidence, and then settle on the compromise, even though they know GZ is not guilty of manslaughter or Murder 2, how many years is he going to prison? If it is only 5-10 and eligible for parole, well okay, lets go home.
Sad thing is that they will not get the question they want in order to assuage their guilt, answered.
Yep -- a stealth juror.
