As much as I generally like Palin, if I lived in Alaska, I would have 2nd thoughts about voting for her in any election... She chose to bail on the governor’s office after being elected. What’s to keep her from doing the same in the US Senate?

What a joke! What would you have done then if your enemies were bankrupting you for doing your job? Every turn they would sue her and it was costing her family and the state money and back then Sarah wasn’t rich according to politican standards. You come here with this I like Sarah crap but then spew that she abandon her state but you seem to not know what was going on and can’t offer what you would have done differently

Shame on you for repeating that lie. She resigned as governor because of the expense of all the frivolous lawsuits that were being brought against her. She would not have the same problem in the senate. But I have a big problem with you no knowing the facts!

As far as I'm concerned, someone as uninformed as you shoudn't be voting in the first place. Leave voting to people who actually DO THEIR HOMEWORK.

You’ve been around long enough to know that Gov Palin was driven from her governorship by Rat operatives filing endless law suits against her. She had to pay for her defense out of her own pocket and was bankrupted by legal fees. Her only escape from finical ruin was resigning. IIRC correctly she was $500,000 in debt when she resigned.

I’ll be on board when she starts to criticize McCain’s conduct since his re-election.....

I agree. I think when you elect someone Governor you will be disappointed if they don’t serve out their term. I know I would be upset if Gov Deal of GA just suddenly resigned. Its a problem that is going to follow Palin.

I made this same comment a couple of days ago and had many Freepers tell me that it would help her to run for Senate so she could explain why she quit the job. I still don’t know why, but I do still love her. It’s the people who are on the fence I worry about.

P.S. You will be called a troll for even uttering your opinion on this. I know I was even though I have posted here for years and love Sarah.

Ignorance is bliss. This has been hashed out over and over.

By the way, grow up. All humans are or have been evil. Definition of evil can be huge or small. But pure evil that King Obama is is one hell more evil than the few problems Romney had. A person has to have the intelligence to make determinations in this impure world. Obamacare would have been a thing of the past. As Romney has said health care is the States responsibility and not the Federal Government.

Well, yes. Palin's reasons for resigning were both understandable and legitimate.

But thoughtful voters have an emotional side as well as an analytical side. Neither side can be ignored. Like you, I understand why Palin resigned. Perhaps I would have done the same in that situation.

But I am still somehow disappointed in Palin for doing that. I know that is NOT fair to her, or a reasonable position to take, but it is what it is.

Sort of like being engaged to a great lady, a lady who calls off the wedding for good reasons. It still stings.

"She chose to bail on the governor’s (Sic) office"

She had to reach into her own pocketbook for all the B/S lawsuits that were filed by Democrats, i.e., the State of Alaska was not picking up the "bill" to defend her. I believe because of state law, unlike many other states where the state does foot the bill.

What's to keep her from doing the same as a U.S. Senator, easy answer; your question reveals a lack of basic knowledge. A U.S. Senator has immunity from suit while in office, as long as the suit is in regard to the duties of said office, unlike Governor of Alaska.

Why don't you bail dingbat, that meme is getting old, Freepers know why she had to bail, and if you don't then you are just a troll.
