I remember the OJ decision. There was a lounge area where I worked, with a TV. There was a bunch of black women there when the news came out, and they were clapping and cheering and having a good old time.
Opposite for me . Mixed group watching. Verdict rendered . Black co-workers immediately said “ He’s guilty as hell, and got away with it”

Whatever the reasons (justified or not), their color is a major part of their life and a major contributor to their perception of events.
