My point is that is only one juror is firm that it is self defense, then the acquittal will be this afternoon and no other charge will be considered.

If I understand you, that scenario is

5 vote guilty and
1 vote not guilty

From such one does not get acquittal. What am I missing?

Guilt must be a unanimous decision. Not acquittal. Is this correct?

If just one juror says “I WILL NOT vote guilty. Join me or spend the next few weeks sitting in this room until a hung jury is declared “. The rest would fold.
