At what point in the trial did the defense learn about these text messages? I keep seeing how they were lied to but can’t find info on this thread to say how. (???)
If you follow link to video above I think they’ve know since January. They actually published a few pictures from the double password files then

They have had the “binary” files — not human readable — for several weeks. (However that’s months LESS time than the prosecution has had with those same files.) They have only been able to make sense of the binary files for a shorter time (couple weeks maybe?) with the help of their expert witness.
