They have had the “binary” files — not human readable — for several weeks. (However that’s months LESS time than the prosecution has had with those same files.) They have only been able to make sense of the binary files for a shorter time (couple weeks maybe?) with the help of their expert witness.

Ahh. That explains A LOT. So the state is saying it took them a yr to get into the phone itself? BS. I don’t believe it. Someone needs to pursue this.
