I recall that situation... I think the words that were said came out funny, but I think it was clear that the jury wanted to “go on”, not “go home”.
If I run into it again, I'd be happy to provide a link. Right now, I'm not sure what day, or during what witness it was. I'll have to go back to where I originally posted much the same comment and see if that ties it down better.
In the meantime I will repeat what I heard.
Judge: “Does the jury want to go home early or stay for the next witness.”
Jury: “mumbling...GO.....mumbling...home”
Judge: “The jury wants to go....(looks over at BDLR, then turns back and says) “stay ... for ... the next witness.”
