So it is with our foreign policy. The first goal is to protect Americas security and interests. Everything else is second.
That formula explains why Mohammed Morsis election doesnt trump other all other considerations. After all, Hamas won an election in Gaza, and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won two elections in Iran. Hitler was elected, and so was Saddam Hussein.
Elections in police-state societies can be a step in the right direction, or they can be used as a blank check to further entrench power by a ruling elite aiming for dictatorial authority. Morsi was definitely in that camp.

Unfortunately for us, our military forces and it’s leadership have been so decimated, they wouldn’t have a chance. There is more fire power in the NSA, FBI and IRS now than our military could overcome. (You don’t think that has been done by “design” now do you?) (sarc)
I'm getting pretty sick of the word being used to describe the USA. We were not meant to be one, and the closer we get to being a "Democracy," the closer we get to being just another third-world toilet.
It was “One man, one vote”, but the Islamists had not mentioned the “One time” sure to follow.

I’ll be shocked if we even have elections in 2016. Some excuse for martial law will come along.
Not yet they haven’t. The beast is not dead yet.
I pray that ours will do the same.
