(Cackle) I guess Ohaha did not discuss this appointment w/ Sen Booby Menendez (Dem-NJ)---who is depending on the Dominican Republic govt to save his degenerate ***.

Think about that---a US senator seeks redemption from a Third World govt to save his seat.

==================================================

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE It is an unconscionable travesty against representative democracy---to have the corrupt Dominican Republic meddling in our affairs---cooking the books to help Menendez stay in power.

HOW DO YOU SAY QUID PRO QUO IN SPANISH? Clearly, a deal was made. IF (BIG IF) the Dominican Republic saves Menendez's degenerate a** (and prevents the dreaded Christie appointment), Obama will write the foreign aid check w/ plenty of zeros. BOTTOM LINE Menendez has TWO governments protecting him---- New Jerseyans have not even one government looking after our interests.

BACKSTORY Deaf, dumb and blind Menendez's continual denials of wrongdoing in the face of incontrovertible facts expose a corrupt individual with a gross sense of entitlement. Drunk with power----he will do and say anything to keep himself in govt. Menendez spends half his time in a foreign country romping at a posh resort in the Dominican Republic, and the other half using US govt authority and our precious resources finagling the financial interests of a Florida resident.

=====================================================

THE SHADY ADVENTURES OF SENOR BOB When the Ethics Committee came snooping, Menendez---a NJ senator---belatedly paid his Floridian pal $58,000 for two private airlifts to the Dominican Republic (that should have been disclosed and paid for two years ago).

However, way back in 2006, Menendez was at the Floridian's getaway in the swanky Casa de Campo resort (but did not disclose as required by law). The Dominican daily Listin Diario, Aug. 22, 2006, published a photo captioned: “Bob Menéndez, the senator from New Jersey, gave an interview (in Spanish) to Listin Diario at the residence of doctor Salomón Melgen (a Florida resident), at Casa de Campo, La Romana.”

Menendez has only acknowledged three visits--all in 2010--then belatedly paid Melgen $58,500 in January 2013 as reimbursement for two trips. The DSSC, which he then-headed, paid for the third, part of a fundraising swing.

============================================

2006 was a banner year for Menendez: he had just entered the Senate after being a Congressman. Plus Menendez was also being investigated in a rent-for-influence deal by the US Attorney.

As landlord for a Newark non-profit, Menendez collected more than $300,000 in rent. While a member of the US House, he helped the agency get federal grants. Employees of the agency contributed $33,450 to Menendez’s campaigns. When a furor erupted, Menendez absconded to the Dominican Republic and gave interviews there in Spanish. He returned when the furor died down here. The lease stated the n/p agency’s ability to pay was dependent on the agency getting certain federal/state funding.

THIS IS CALLED CYA Menendez said he had permission from Mark Davis of the House Ethics Committee in 1994 before entering the lease. CONVENIENTLY DEAD A Capitol Hill publication said Davis didn’t work there at that juncture. And when the Menendez agreement became public----Davis had died.

OBAMA/MENENDEZ--NOW THAT'S TEAMWORK--- L/E authorities in Hudson County notified ICE agents early Oct 2012 that they an intern in the Senate office of Sen Robert Menendez---named Luis Abrahan Sánchez Zavaleta, Newark, an 18-year-old immigrant from Peru---was an illegal alien who was also a registered sex offender. Zavaleta was eminently deportable.

BUT FIRST---ICE agents in New Jersey notified Homeland Security b/c Zavaleta was a high-profile arrest that would trouble many New Jerseyans. During discussions about when and where to arrest Sánchez-Zavaleta, the U.S. reviewed his application for permission to stay as part of Obama's policy to allow up to 1.7 million young undocumented immigrants avoid deportation and permission to work for up to two years. As a sex offender, Zavaleta was ineligible. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, which oversees Obama's program known as "Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals," notified Sánchez of that shortly before his arrest, one official said.

Then an ICE official told AP news that DHS instructed them NOT to arrest Sánchez until after Menendez's reelection----b/c of intense media and voter interest that might queer Menendez's reelection. ICE officials complained that the delay was not accepted policy---but DHS directed them SEVERAL TIMES not to act.

When caught w/ an illegal alien/registered sex offender working in his Senate office---Menendez obfuscated----and whined: "It speaks volumes about the need for immigration reform." For sure Senor Menendez will make sure sexual predators are included in Obama's "comprehensive immigration reform."

Are we going to be able to get rid of any of them?

SEN. MENENDEZ RECALL KILLED BY NJ SUPREME COURT

http://www.newswithviews.com/Devvy/kidd592.htm

“The New Jersey Supreme Court struck down a tea party-led push to recall Democratic Sen. Robert Menendez as unconstitutional Thursday.

“In a 4-2 decision, state Supreme Court justices said that the Constitution forbids the recall of a sitting U.S. senator. Lawyers for The Committee to Recall U.S. Senator Robert Menendez argued that New Jersey law allows for such a recall, but justices determined that law was pre-empted by federal statute.”

No where in Art. 1, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution, Art. 1, Section 3 does it contain any language about recall.
