Obama admin. provokes outrage in Dominican Republic with homosexual activist ambassador appointee

July 4, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The Obama administration’s ongoing use of the State Department to promote the homosexual agenda in foreign countries has provoked outrage in the Dominican Republic, where the administration plans to send an open homosexual as ambassador.

Religious leaders in the strongly Christian island nation denounced the appointment and warned that James “Wally” Brewster, a gay activist businessman and member of the homosexualist “Human Rights Campaign” board of directors, would not be welcome in the country.

“In reality, it’s a lack of respect, of consideration, that they should send us a person of that type as ambassador,” said Catholic Auxiliary Bishop Pablo Cedaño in a recent interview. “I have the hope that he won’t arrive because I know that if he arrives he’s going to suffer and will have to leave.”

Cedaño’s sentiments were echoed by Santo Dominco’s Cardinal Archbishop Nicolas de Jesus Lopez. “You can expect anything from the United States,” said the cardinal.

However, he noted that the Catholic Church does not have the power to reject such nominees. “What can we do? It’s not up to us. It’s the government of the United States that proposes the ambassador and it’s up to the Dominican government to decide if they’re in agreement or not.”

The cardinal added that he regarded the appointment as another attempt by the Obama administration to promote homosexual “marriage” in foreign countries, which he regards as erroneous.

“What God has said, man and woman he made them, no one is going to change that...even if all of the countries of the world and those that are degenerating follow that,” said de Jesus Lopez.

The cardinal’s accusation is backed up by a U.S. presidential memorandum issued in December of 2011 “directing all agencies engaged abroad to ensure that U.S. diplomacy and foreign assistance promote and protect the human rights of LGBT persons.” This includes combatting “LBGT discrimination” in foreign countries, to “broaden the number of countries willing to support and defend LGBT issues in the multilateral arena; strengthen the role of civil society advocates on behalf of LGBT issues within and through multilateral fora; and strengthen the policies and programming of multilateral institutions on LGBT issues.”

A coalition of Evangelical Protestant churches also expressed their dissatisfaction, through a statement made by the ex-president of the nation’s Evangelical Confraternity, Cristobal Cardozo, according to the BBC.

Cordoza called the appointment as “an insult to good Dominican customs” and considered it inappropriate to send such an ambassador to “a country where homosexual relationships are not approved, neither legally nor morally.”

Brewster’s nomination, which still must be approved by the Senate, is one of a slew of such nominations and expected nominations in recent weeks, which appear in part to be political payback for the lucrative support of wealthy homosexuals in the 2012 election.

In addition to his ties to the homosexual movement, which is one of Obama’s principal constituencies, Brewster and his “partner” raised over $500,000 for the president’s 2012 reelection campaign, according to CNN.

They always make a mistake-—he seems to be getting a pass now-—but all of slimeball Menendez’s dirt has yet to be uncovered

Another poke in the eye by our illustrious leader to all that choose to deal with him. This guy(?) is insufferable to any and all...except muslims, queers, communists and the plantation dwellers.

When will Obama come out of the closet on the White House lawn dressed in a new spring frock?

"If he were my president..."Id cover him with chocolate syrup, and make him a nasty on the white house lawn..." (all due respect to Frank Zappa)

Clinton was very, very bad but I don’t think I was as ashamed of my country then as I am now.

As with Obama, though, this guy was so highly overrated as to be an embarrassment to those who possessed a functioning brain. He and this ghastly woman he’s joined with in a marriage of convenience are both two examples of why ex-presidents and their power-hungry wives need to shut up and blow away.

There is absolutely no question that the present mystery that occupies the White Hut is a president without equal. He and his entourage stink like piles of dead fish.

All Democrats and Richard Nixon have done as much damage to America as one can imagine.

What an absolutely ghastly experience to watch this scrawny, lop-eared loon jog down the steps of Air Force One with his little paws held in front of him. They watch as he salutes the military attaché who always awaits him.

To see this couple stagger across the national and world stages in a misadventure one can only experience while watching a poorly-rated horror movie.

Oh, nightmare where will it end?

Of course not.

And in spite of the fact that his administration, as were most all of the previous ones, was responsible for the growth of the monster I call the Central Socialist Government.

He did nothing about the border and began our reaction to 9/11 too damned late and directed our resources to the wrong target.

“Don’t ask, don’t tell” would be a good policy for homosexuals to follow, but the obligatory announcement to the world is the current protocol.
