Currently just Tweets and locals talking about this, nothing on news sites yet. Lots of stuff in the Twitter feed, including links to uploaded videos of the smoking mess.
Thanks Jim.
Yeah the plane is NOT on its back
I'm not wearing pajamas! Nuts. No, I mean... never mind.
Dang! You are GOOD! ha.
I just gave a local Sheriff-—Very conservative, Catholic guy— the Freepr website today!!!
we will now hopefully have LEA back up here in Jax, Fl for future Freepathons...ha. ha.
There will be casualties due to smoke inhalation ... but i have seen fully engulfed planes. This one will be survivable for some.
Camera phones combined with a Twitter account are amazing. One of these days, some average Joe is going to win a Pulitzer Prize just for being in the right place at the right time to capture a dramatic picture.
Yes, I saw that story too. Did an emergency diversion, they sent a 747 to pick up the passengers. Somewhere in Asia IIRC.
Thanks for posting. I have never been good at posting pictures on this site so I appreciate you posting it for me :-)
I just crash landed at SFO. Tail ripped off. Most everyone seems fine. I’m ok. Surreal...
David Eun at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) (Airport)
SFFD says 45 units on scene - have passengers AND VICTIMS so there are injuries
Upon landing, it appears the tail just fell off. Wits now saying this thing started to cartwheel upon landing, tearing a wing off then the tail...
I quit flying several years ago. I simply got tired of being groped by people I did not know who wanted to play with my privates for whatever reason to see if I was carrying an artillery shell in my shorts or something. I hate airports. I hate flying. I hate the fools that grope everyone for their funny time. If I can’t drive there, I ain’t going!
Thank you, sir!
Heard of it from a friend who’s in SF.
That was one hard landing. Heavy jets don’t have skid capable tail sections. They snap and buckle the fuselage. That’s why jets don’t flare for a landing. You just sort of fly them in a straight attitude while on a steady rate of descent and they mmet the runway at some point if you’re on glide slope.
Yes..Thank heavens!
WOW!!!!

From S. Korea
twitter has its whackos but for the most part its pretty darn good..with any kind of social media(Facebook, twitter, etc) your gonna have the haters, the leftist jerks, but for the most part twitter has been a very reliable source of information. Twitter was the place I found out about the fireworks accident in Simi Valley, called my cousin to find out that my cousins had been at the event and were uninjured, it hadnt even been reported in the local media yet..so yes, with social media, you take the good with the bad
