Don’t forget manslaughter, a lesser included offense..so called experts claiming any trial is over before the jury speaks may get bit in the ass..

No more evidence exists for manslaughter than for murder2. Zimmerman’s account holds up when you only look at evidence, not everything including the kitchen sink they are trying to throw at the jury, hoping something sticks. For murder2 or manslaughter there is a no evidence and especially not “beyond reasonable doubt”.

I also understand or have seen repeated that a manslaughter conviction carries a very long prison term as does murder2. Thirty years??

I'm worried that the jurors may be divided and decide on a "compromise" of manslaughter, which could mean a 30-year prison term...not that Zimmerman would live anywhere near that long if sent to prison. With all the threats being made against his life on the outside, there are bound to be prisoners with nothing to lose who would kill him the first chance they got, if he was incarcerated.

Anyway, if the racebaiters had not jumped on the case, he wouldn't be on trial to begin with, and there wouldn't be any talk of either second degree murder or manslaughter.

Of course the reason that Corey chose second degree murder is that she would have had to get a grand jury to approve a first degree murder charge, and knew she couldn't get that. Second degree was the worst that she could do without a grand jury.

Nope. In FL, manslaughter requires “depraved mind” just like M2, and that’s been disproven. The difference is accidental vs intentional.

There is no case that he committed manslaughter either. This is a clear cut case of self defense even if the defense rests Monday morning.
