USA Today reports from Cairo at least 10 killed, hundreds wounded in Egypt today on the Muslim Brotherhood's (Ikwhan) "Day of Rejection" of the Egyptian military's removal of President Morsi from office this week after a popular uprising.

While doing some research last night there seem to be some suggestions of more than monetary ties with this group and the MB. That is as far as I prefer to speculate.

Sounds like from reports that women have left the mosque under protection from the military. We may see a direct assault on MB holed up there now that women have left before the day is done.
Am also looking into the Chicago connection — a psychologist working with youth and gangs is just too coincidental. Wondee if he worked with the community organizer too ? If you run across more ping me to it or just post to Chicago thread if you don’t want to muddy this one !

Egyptian Prime Minister Hazem el-Beblawi has proposed the legal dissolution of the Muslim Brotherhood and the idea is being studied by the government, a government spokesman said Aug. 17, AP and Reuters reported. Brotherhood leaders directed supporters to attack state institutions and block roads, a government spokesman said. The Brotherhood has demonstrated an ability to weather far worse suppression, but this time it is facing a different sort of crisis — one that could strip its status as Egypt’s largest political movement.

13:15 GMT: Two Western journalists – Matt Bradley of The Wall Street Journal and Alastair Beach of The Independent – have been taken into army vehicle for protection, after having been reportedly detained by the crowd. Matt Bradley has tweeted they are both safe, thanking the military and the other journalist for “timely intervention.”
Hmm.. what would such a threat do to our unprotected elected representatives, who believe that they would be all alone in opposition to the leader of such terrorist groups?
