USA Today reports from Cairo at least 10 killed, hundreds wounded in Egypt today on the Muslim Brotherhood's (Ikwhan) "Day of Rejection" of the Egyptian military's removal of President Morsi from office this week after a popular uprising.

Meanwhile, the U.S. State Department admitted Secretary of State John Kerry was indeed on his yacht in Nantucket on Wednesday as the revolution in Egypt succeeded:

These gigantic posters (Putin, Sisi, and Khrushchev and Nasser) were mentioned on the John Bachelor show in connection with a planned visit by Putin to Egypt. Bachelor pointed out that Putin is wearing "the distinctive blue and white shirt of the Special Forces of the Soviet State, now the Russian Federation."
His guest Malcolm Hoenlein said that Putin will visit Cairo. Bachelor said that this planned visit is not yet in the news, but it has been confirmed by several sources.
In a search for this news, the only site that confirms Putin's visit is an article at DEBKA, posted Aug 3. The Bachelor interview took place on Aug 1.
President Vladimir Putin is set to visit to Cairo possibly next Wednesday Aug. 7 on the advice of Saudi intelligence chief Prince Bandar bin Sultan, debkafile reports exclusively. The prince landed in Moscow Wednesday, July 31 without warning. He told Putin that Saudi King Abdullah was in favor of the Russian president going to Cairo as soon as possible and did not rule out the visit occasioning the signing of a large Russian arms sale to Egypt, bankrolled by the oil kingdom.

If true, it causes me to speculate if this upcoming visit by Putin is what caused Sec State Kerry to make these remarks from Pakistan on Aug 2.
He was asked by Geo television why the United States had not taken a clear position on military intervention against Morsis democratically elected government.
The military was asked to intervene by millions and millions of people, all of whom were afraid of descendance into chaos, into violence, Kerry was quoted as having told Geo.
And the military did not take over, to the best of our judgment - so far. To run the country, theres a civilian government. In effect, they were restoring democracy, he added.

Hoenlein also said that posters of Al Sisi are appearing all over Cairo and other parts of Egypt, and "his having declared that he will not run [in an election] is now being questioned because this is a very political-type move and raises many questions..."
The interview about Putin and Egypt is about 5 minutes. It begins about 2 minutes into interview with Hoenlein.(mp3 here)
The first thing I thought was how much has Snowden revealed to Putin that he would feel making a move to Egypt was no longer risky.... Impossible for Snowden to have been ‘given’ asylum without a trade-off with Putin..forced or otherwise. Putin does nothing without great gain to himself...that's how he works.
I agree with the host that Chechnya issues certainly put him in a favorable light with the Egyptian leadership.....will they be asking him how he would deal with the MBS?
But on the whole , if he goes there it's a huge political statement....and will have impact on the ME Leaders....but you can bet China won't be happy about it one bit.
BTW I didn't see posters as these “all over” Egypt....I did see two or three locations with these up.... but they were all banners....I didn't see any posters or in the marches themselves.
...............I enjoyed hearing the Host and his guest Thou, where is that piped from...... very interesting listening....?
Sissi to Wash post says.... that Brotherhood members are more devoted to their Islamist beliefs than they are to Egypt.
He’s right..........and SISI has been long time known to deeply love, and be devoted to Egypt. His history attests to that...and those closest to him saw this throughout his life.
Additionally, SISi does not underestimate the “Power of the Mosque” to step in line and rally the people to MBS cause when push comes to shove.
SISi knows the MBS push is a threat to his country....they proved it...and when he himself saw Morsi moving the country he loved toward an Islamic state...he knew that would mean the state would be controlled by Shariah...entire.
“if Putin goes to Egypt Wednesday that will surely change the equation in every way....not only in the dynamics of what’s happening there...but on the world stage entire.”
Exactly! Ugh!
“BTW I didn’t see posters as these all over Egypt”
THOSE posters they talked about “all over Egypt” are the ones of just Sissi. They are speculating that might mean Sissi may run in an election even though he said he would not.

He recently revamped his website. This page has his podcasts, divided into 4 separate hours. I download them and listen on mp3 player. He discusses a very wide range of subjects with a wide-variety of guests.
NATO's top military commander U.S. Air Force General Philip Breedlove, who took over as NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe in May, said........"Instability in north Africa is a concern for NATO which is keeping a close eye on events in Egypt and its neighbors......... many European NATO members bordering the Mediterranean were affected by what happened in North Africa................."Refugee flows, commerce, drugs, all kinds of things in Europe are affected by what goes on in northern Africa so any instability in northern Africa is clearly a concern of the NATO nations," .....he told a group of reporters at NATO's operational headquarters in Mons, Belgium.
Egyptian children dressed in burial shrouds at a pro-Morsi protest in Egypt. (Photo: Screenshot from a video taken at the protest)
The Muslim Brotherhood is being condemned for putting children in harms way after a video surfaced of kids at a pro-Morsi demonstration, where they declared their willingness to die. Even the presence of the children at the protests is a form of abuse, as they sometimes turn into violent clashes.
An Egyptian newspaper named El-Dostour, or The Constitution, released the video and it is being quickly passed around on Egyptian social media networks. A photo was also published on the Egyptian Streets website.
The images show children wearing white death shrouds that signal a desire to become martyrs. The writing on their posters also glorified death. Some children are seen wearing green bandanas usually worn by supporters of Hamas.
When one kid was asked why he is carrying these banners, he said, These men over there told us to carry them. How sad that children are brought into the conflicts of the grown-ups and are forced to follow fanatical ideas instead of just being children, said the Egyptian source that originally notified the Clarion Project.
Footage has emerged of Egyptian children being dressed in white death shrouds in preparation for their martyrdom by pro-Morsi families in a large demonstration at Rabaa al-Adaweya. The children were heard chanting pre-rehearsed lines and were seen carrying posters that say I am ready to die!
One of Islam’s specialties is torturing and abusing children not just physically but mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
The amazing thing really is how leftists and the MSM in particular completely ignore this and other heinous aspects of Islam.

Reading here daily, you have done a great service caww!
Thank you
Thank You for pinging me back to this thread. Had to place it (this thread) on a back burner. Since it all ties together, was a bad decision on my part to place to back burner. Appreciation from this side of screen.
yep ... to the nth degree
Lots of fury and rage for sure. We need to be careful about taking any sides in such clashes, kind of like Sarah Palin said “let Allah sort it out.” Now if a genuine, clear US interest is at stake there may be some point in wading in.
“Mel, I have linked this to the article...can you fill in the blanks on who this cleric is? I know he’s important but the translation is too choppy for me to nail down what happened....when you get time that is...thanks”
Hassan is from the Fundamentalist Party. They don’t know how dirty the word “Fundamentalist” is!
He’s one of the rats who are jumping the sinking ship, knowing that the end of the MB and Islamist parties coalition is coming to a bloody end. He says that before Rabaa and Nahda happened he objected to and disagreed with the sit-in decision. I say that he failed to explain why he was there for over a month.
You’ll see a lot of maneuvering to avoid life sentences and executions when they’re held accountable by the law.
CW, there’s nothing wrong with your understanding of what’s in the article, it’s written so badly that we may think the reporter is a graduate of one of OUR public screwls!!
Interior Ministry (MOI) stated that, information was received about some micro-bus drivers frequent visits on a number of poor areas and ..."the collection and transfer of children to the MB sit in at Nasr City (Rabaa)"..................In a follow-up today (4/August), the security forces at Kaliobeya Directorate have seized (2) travelling microbuses today, with total of (42) children...........................Through investigation, turned out that the man who collects the children and attracts them is called Ahmed Yousef Sadek, 31 years old teacher at the Association of Teaching Quran in Atfeeh, Giza.................................... Being confronted, he admitted collecting the children and taking them by car to the MB sit in and promising them to buy new clothes for post Ramadans feast (Eid), and that these children are from areas of Shubra Al Khaimah...................... The children have confirmed it. Legal actions have been taken about the incident, and the case is sent to the public prosecution, which began its investigations.
Sunday, August 4, 2013...The Cairo Appeals Court has set the trial of six Muslim Brotherhood leaders,..... including Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie, (Pictured) and his deputy, , ....for August 25, MENA reported...... The defendants are accused of murder and inciting the killing of protesters in front of the groups headquarters in Moqattam on June 30. Badie, Shater, and Mohamed Rashad Bayoumi, another Brotherhood leader,..... are accused of conspiring with and inciting the three other defendants and other unidentified assailants to kill protesters...... They are also charged with possession of explosives, rifles, and other weapons. The defendants will stand trial at the South Cairo Criminal Court, which is also due to hear the trial of 29 people on charges of terrorizing residents of Moqattam using firearms and white weapons.
