USA Today reports from Cairo at least 10 killed, hundreds wounded in Egypt today on the Muslim Brotherhood's (Ikwhan) "Day of Rejection" of the Egyptian military's removal of President Morsi from office this week after a popular uprising.

Meanwhile, the U.S. State Department admitted Secretary of State John Kerry was indeed on his yacht in Nantucket on Wednesday as the revolution in Egypt succeeded:

Thanks for the reports
I was offline for couple days on vacation
BTW that pretty bad if the doctors don’t want see the injuried forerunner of upcoming Obamacare in the US perhaps LOL!
DUDE I didn’t see on the deckhand of the Northwestern this year
WHOA when this happen
I been watching the Deadliest catch since the beginning dude
When did Sig hired Vlady LOL!
I heard last night the military may let journalists go up in the helicopters to observe the happenings...they would not agree to do so if they weren’t certain they are not guilty in inciting these events.
Got confused with different threads..this seems to be the one. I was out and come home to learn over 100 killed and there’s action in the Sinai.
I’ll go catch up now.
THEY know what matters. God bless them.
Absolutely!
You mentioned the MB is acting like Palestinians. They are, and before it’s all said and done, the military will find a lot of the dead and captured to be the new “Egyptian citizens,” i.e., illegals from Hamas!
Per The Guardian- though hard to know what to believe...seems to be pretty strong psyops going on.

SummaryAs dusk falls in Cairo...
The Muslim Brotherhood estimates that 120 of its supporters have been killed by government forces.
The minister for the interior said that only 21 people were killed and none by the security forces. He also warned that the Muslim Brotherhood protesters would be cleared from the streets when the time was right.
In Tunisia, Mohamed Brahmi was buried after being shot dead on Thursday. His supporters blamed the government for his death and called for its removal.
In Libya, protesters attacked the Muslim Brotherhood offices in Benghazi after the assassination of a prominent Brotherhood critic.
Patrick Kingsley has written a few pieces from Cairo for the Observer which will be posted on the site over the next couple of hours but we will now close the live blog for this evening
Do you have proof for that or is that your speculation?
Go back on the threads and you will see photos and videos as well as reports from reliable sources....best to stay on this thread for Egypt info as it comes, and or links when others post a thread that is relevant.
I do think people here keep us updated....and if others would post here on Egypt news there wouldn’t be the confusion for others who try to keep up.
wheres the wide angle shot of over 100 bodies?
do your homework, MB!
Don-o, I’ve been reading every single comment on the Live Egypt threads and there is much, much evidence to back up what caww is saying. It is not her speculation but backed up by factual accounts. And melancholy is translating Egyptian news which also supports the same facts. It has taken a lot of time but I started reading when the live threads started.
If you go back this thread and read a bunch of pages you’ll see what I mean.
For instance, there was one account of 3 women (I think 3, not 4) who were killed in a MB protest and were dragged out to show as evidence of military killing MB. But it turns out they were shot at very close range from the back - by MB members!
That sort of thing is SOP for the MB.
If you don’t have much time to read this thread make sure you read melancholy’s comments - translations from Egyptian news, non-MB propaganda.
Another example is CNN posted video of the anti-Morsi people and labeled it pro-Morsi people. Etc.
Everything I am seeing from Egypt that isn’t the msm, live feeds and tweets and evertything else, is saying this is true. mb is staging a war against its own supporters INSIDE their own circles and blaming the gov and police. They are also using hamas terrorists just like the basij in Iran.
I haven’t been posting much because I just don’t feel well most of the time, but have been following this like a laser beam everywhere I could and then some.
CW and mel and the other contributors on this thread have this exactly right. There is really nothing I could add that would make this thread any better than it is.
What bothers me is the exuberance I see on this thread that “happy days are here again.” The fact is that Western interest are served only by brutal repression over ME countries. Now, with skillful diplomacy, over time, that brutality can be ameliorated.
This is how it always worked before Jimmy Carter. Every single President since this has enabled policy that goes against American self interest.
If this “not a coup” restores the Mubarak type of governance, that is good for America. But, it’s going to be a hard and bloody road.
I hope my thoughts are not taken as any type of brief for the MB. That is not my point. I am a big fan of “consent of the governed.” I have serious doubt that this can be exported or adopted in that part of the world. Submission to the governor is their mindset - across the board.
It is concerning when the news reports as they do and the people just lap it up Mel,....they have limited understanding that this is the people of Egypt saying no to the Islamic Brotherhood....the Brotherhood knows this clearly and why they are creating the chaos they are...the idea of “Morsi supporters” is long gone as they are basically being held hostage by the MBS and threatened if they object or try and go home.
There’s a photo out there I’ll try to find of guys breaking down the Mosque entrance...NOT the military ....as the MBS are saying.... they are blaming anyone other than themselves for these happenings and deaths.
ElBaradi said it would only take the Clerics to ask the people to go home now and the violence would be abbated....they refused to do so and in fact are inciting the people.
It’s their refusal and denial that is at the heart of all this violence...and their determination to make the military and new governance appear as vicious and hateful...when in fact it is the MBS and there co-hurts at the top of all this and directing it.
It is even MORE concerning that our own press, which could do exactly what YOU are doing, WON’T. We let the Iranian people be massacred without A WORD. NOW THE EGYPTIANS WHO ARE FIGHTING FOR THEIR LIVES AND THE LIFE OF THEIR COUNTRY are being dissed by the msm all over the world and it is utterly sickening.
After catching up on the posts on this thread, I spent 1/2 hr looking at news reports/blogs of the clashes. I have not found a single account that even hints at the suggestion that the MB might be killing/wounding their own. The only dispute is the body count inflicted by the military.
FAUX news!
