WITNESS: “Those are my notes, you can’t copy them. I want them back. “
I hope the jury sees what I see. This guy makes it appear that he was not there. His own words condemn him.
Granted that he needed notes, because of the detailed info required and that he is being asked for. But that doesn’t change the fact that EVEN after SPENDING ALL NIGHT LAST NIGHT (his statement) PREPARING for and taking NOTES for his testimony today, HE can’t remember the simplest details like WHETHER HE WAS THERE, WHETHER HE REMOVED THE BAGS, etc.
WITNESS leading the court, demanding his notes back.
IIRC, the DNA dude said the hoodie was in a plastic bag and any DNA was contaminated. This guy said “only paper allowed”. Person putting them in plastic would be immediately fired. Oops....I see a bus coming.
He should have been taping his autopsy and having it typed up and that IS what happened. He signs the copy and it is FACT at that point. This is the most unprofessional display of incompetence I have ever seen.

I think it’s legitimate that he needs *something* to go from, on highly technical questions of fact from two years ago.
But wouldn’t that “something” be the autopsy report? And shouldn’t that report have EVERYTHING it needs to stand alone as a finding of the ME?
Rhetorical questions of course...
