EVERYBODY from the north has someone in the family that lived in New Port Richey or its environs.....because it's quite a retirement city....a very nice area to live, by the way.

I call it New Port Rickety.

My grandparents lived on a dead end street with horse fields and a pond beyond them. Alligators were around, as well as horses. They had a pet monkey with a huge outdoor cage in the yard. All very exotic to a little girl coming to visit at Christmas.
