The Egyptian army has set a deadline of 4 p.m. Cairo time for the Muslim Brotherhood government of President Morsi to compromise with the people of Egypt (by stepping down.) Morsi refuses. 18 people were killed and 200 were wounded in clashes at Cairo University last night.
A Washington Post report from Cairo on dueling statements from Morsi and the army:
Waving his hands and shaking his fists in a 45-minute speech on national television late Tuesday, Morsi swore that he was committed to the democratic process that brought him to power and said that any attempts to subvert the constitution were unacceptable.
The army, in turn, posted a message to its Facebook page saying: We swear to God that we will sacrifice even our blood for Egypt and its people, to defend them against any terrorist, radical or fool.
In his speech, Morsi acknowledged that he had made mistakes during his year in office as Egypts first democratically elected president. But he appealed to Egyptians to give him more time to deal with the countrys problems.

Believe it!
MB will be uprooted and outlawed. They will kill people for a while.
Wait and see, unfortunately.
Don’t have to say it but I will: BS!

The opposition needs to get it together really quick. The MB is highly organized.

At the location of what was a pro-Morsi rally, our reporter notes some shops are closing, men with sticks are rushing about, and others are dashing to leave. In the center of the demonstration, however, things are calm.

They are armed but not organized anymore. Their leaders gave orders to attack an then ran to airports. They are being arrested as we speak.
The rah rah rah is becoming “everyone for himself!”
Wonder if O will say this is the result of an Egyptian video.

Ted Cruz slams Obama for backing Egyptian leader
By JOEL GEHRKE | JULY 3, 2013 AT 3:15 PM
EXCERPT
As we prepare to celebrate the 237th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence this week, halfway around the globe Egyptians may witness the birth of their own freedoms, Cruz wrote in an op-ed for Foreign Policy published today. It is a great pity that Obamas policies have provoked so much hostility toward the United States from the very people we should most want to support and it would be an even greater pity if his accommodation of the [Morsi] regime helped the Egyptian leader remain in power. Since the president has refused to act, Congress should move quickly to freeze all aid to Egypt that is supporting the Muslim Brotherhood. We should treat with great caution any proposal to deploy U.S. forces to Egypt in response to these events. And we should find the courage to speak out forcefully on behalf of those advocating secular democratic reforms in Egypt.
“I want one here in the USA just like that!”
~~~~~~~~~``
We will hope and pray. I loved that line by Walid Phares the other day.
“EGYPTIANS ARE CONSCIOUS.”
Americans need more of that “CONSCIOUS,” and probably more pain before we are ready to display that kind of will, discipline, and sacrifice to hold our government to that civil foundation that stands as a beacon to light the world-—our CONSTITUTION!
They are going to have to find common ground to defeat the MB
If I had that kittehs playing with a balls of thread copetioned “I love this thread” I’d post it.
Thank you!!!
This is a happy day. We should think deeply about it. Imagine....
