The Egyptian army has set a deadline of 4 p.m. Cairo time for the Muslim Brotherhood government of President Morsi to compromise with the people of Egypt (by stepping down.) Morsi refuses. 18 people were killed and 200 were wounded in clashes at Cairo University last night.
A Washington Post report from Cairo on dueling statements from Morsi and the army:
Waving his hands and shaking his fists in a 45-minute speech on national television late Tuesday, Morsi swore that he was committed to the democratic process that brought him to power and said that any attempts to subvert the constitution were unacceptable.
The army, in turn, posted a message to its Facebook page saying: We swear to God that we will sacrifice even our blood for Egypt and its people, to defend them against any terrorist, radical or fool.
In his speech, Morsi acknowledged that he had made mistakes during his year in office as Egypts first democratically elected president. But he appealed to Egyptians to give him more time to deal with the countrys problems.

MB figures Katatni and Bayoumi have been released pending investigations reported
Take care of yourself first, Mesta.
Prayers up.
Great post and exactly right.
Thanks, Jeff.
Thanks for the info.
I believe there’s an army redline that will not be crossed by the MB. No way the army allow a clash of the titans in T’S, especially the rebels are unarmed.
Wait and see.
The live stream has someone talking...live ammunition used...no telling how many injured...can hear fireworks as well. Bridge confrontation between both sides.

Bad coverage but I’m hearing gunshots, NOT firecrackers.
Once you hear automatic gunfire, it’s the army.
Visual is bad but hearing the guy is worth the listen just the same. More like radio reporting...but then tension has got to be extreme for him....and I don’t think he wants to get too close..
I can hear Apachy helicopters overhead.
Both are being heard I think....Protesters have got the bridge now...a brawl taking place Oh my gosh listen to them!!!!!!
Gunfire coming from one diretion he said...but the MB”s have now been pushed off the bridge...it’s back and forth a real battle for tthe OCt. 6 bridge.

A correspondent of Own TV reported tha thousands of MB are trying to cross the 6 October bridge.
“Some other MB reached and el Moneim Riadh Sq. carrying a lot of weapons, mainly shotguns and auto weapons that could be heard. They fired on the rebels causin large numbers of grave injuries.”
Where’s the army to protect the unarmed rebels?
Onyx...you listening to this?
Guy reporting...
Lots of firing and apachy going overhead...a real brawl now...one side pushing the other back and forth...
Amazing audio....he said this isn’t going to end any time soon....
Seems the Battle for Oct. Bridge is On Big time!

Don’t know why the army isn’t there...the helicopters are overhead so they surely know....
Protesters continue to hold the bridge ...but it’s back and forth.

Fire on the bridge now...the war zone on the bridge there is Hot in every way....
Here some ambulances....if they can get on it...
Live fire all over...police wistles now...
Live from the bridge...

Molotovs being thrown “from this side” them MB side because I see lots of bearded animals!
both sides of clashes on 6th October bridge are carrying pistols/guns with high-velocity bullets
