that was the point of the questioning..WHEN did he feel the threat was stopped.. did it take the cop??? or was it just when the neighbor came out so WHEN did he put away the gun

Zimmerman had no way of knowing that Trayvon didn't have a buddy who would jump him.

Alternately, he knew he would have to turn over the gun to the responding police, who likely would tell him to drop it.
