Always remember...Cops can lie when they question you.


The only time that I am aware of that it is illegal for ANYONE to lie is when they are under oath.

Unfortunately, that is not true. If you lie to a federal officer during an interview, even when you are not under oath, you can go to jail. Just ask Martha Stewart and Scooter Libby.

Lying to any cop will be construed as obstruction of justice (of one kind or another). They love that one.
