Not that surprising, actually. Communism makes legislating morality pretty easy - there is no culture of freedom, no right to free speech, etc., so when the gov’t says “you can’t say ______,” no one really complains. The problem is, while they get the morality right once in a while (like here), what a Commie gov’t thinks is “moral” isn’t usually what you or I think is moral. That’s why I’m not cheering for Putin here - he may be after the right goal, but I still find the Commie way of doing things repugnant.
Putin isn’t doing anything we didn’t use to do, back when we were a civilized nation. There used to be laws against sodomy, and now in some states, they actually teach it to children as normal.
