Maybe killed because of being both a Jew and an American.

Any American, other than military or embassy personnel, still in Egypt has a death wish. They should have been out of there over a year ago.

"He went to Egypt because he cared profoundly about the Middle East, and he planned to live and work there in the pursuit of peace and understanding," the family said. And now he's dead.

Its more likely he was killed because someone detected an American accent.

May he rest in peace, and prayers of comfort for his family.
Yet, I can’t help but wonder WHY he would want to improve his “Arabic”, or worse yet, teach English to Muslim children.
So they can grow up and blend in better when they come to America?
I am sorry if i sound a bit cynical. I try not to be, but it just HAPPENS.

I doubt if anyone took the trouble to find out if he was a Jew. They murdered him because he was an obvious foreigner standing around in a spot where it was fun to kill him.

Of course, nobody can possibly exercise enough caution to assure their safety. That being said....why would a Jewish student, a US citizen, go to Egypt to teach English? It’s a recipe for disaster.

Probably got his news from MSM which only tells delightful stories about the muslims. So he had nothing to fear going into the heart of the monster.
