Egyptian security and medical officials say an American has been killed in the Mediterranean coastal city of Alexandria during clashes between supporters and opponents of Egypt's embattled President Mohammed Morsi.
Alexandria security chief Gen. Amin Ezz Eddin told Al-Jazeera TV that an American was killed Friday in Sidi Gabr Square while photographing the battles between opposition youth and members of the Muslim Brotherhood, from which Morsi hails.
A medical official told The Associated Press the American was wounded by gunshots and died at the hospital.

The State Department said Friday that Americans should defer nonessential travel to Egypt, citing the uncertain security situation. It also said it would allow nonessential staff and the families of personnel at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo to leave Egypt until conditions improve.

Thanks...that’s a good one!
“I honestly think the Egyptians are rebelling against Islam...at least the political part of it they dont want. Not sure how they can seperate the two though...”
It was always separate. Egypt was criticized by Saudi Arabia for not cutting hands and feet! Nasser put the sheikhs in mosques and forbade them from talking politics...say what you want about religion but no politics!
“I have to say...the Brotherhood has a huge foothold in the nation...they arent going to go away even if Morsi falls....they want Egypt and the Billions of dollars flooding in there.”
I think I wrote up thread that the MB hardcore killers are a few hundred thousands in a 90 million population. They are a minority of a minority. They’ll be fleeing or else. Jail, execution for atrocities against Egyptians, especially in the Sinai.
Yesterday in northern Sinai, a police major was ambushed and assassinated in his official car on his way home. Palestinian and/or Egyptian Hamas/Ikhwan were responsible. Three suspects were arrested.
The Ikhwan party was outlawed in Egypt for over 80 years until the fall of Mubarak. They’ll be outlawed again in the coming period.
I bet you all their bigwigs are on their way out to exile, NEVER TO COME BACK.
Maybe I’m an optimist. Time will tell.
Absolutely fascinating! This is a ‘moment’, it’s not surprising to me in regards to Germany. I know several people there and have seen the writing on the wall so to say.
How many hours ahead are they? It will be interesting to see what daylight brings what with the Tuesday deadline and all.
Yes..we do live in such times of uncertainty and great wonder on all these vents and happenings....but never loose heart about keeping on top of things....where we miss HE never misses a thing....I think He’s very much involved in these happenings though men think they are in control of it all.....it’s all moving accordingly...and he can slow it down when He pleases too.
Yes, Mubarak kept all that in check....I was reading a poster who stated that this whole Brotherhood rule was far worse than anything Mubarak did.....
But this dang Global Agenda is what is pushing this...they dilerbately rile the people.....only to eventually replace the leaders with those of their choosing.
Mubarak, Assad, and even Gaddafi refused to go along with them...and we see where they are at now.
So it’s all about positioning nations now...and the leadership.
But in the end Egypt actually will be back in Gods good graces....they just have a tough haul for a time yet I think...the good times are way down the road....
Oh dear, I hope they don’t leave the continent! What with barry’s open arms policy and luv for all things MB, we can’t allow more refugees! Seriously though, how many from Syria have we let come in, I’ve lost track with all the chaos that is pouring down on us daily.
Drop those anti-0 picture in either drudge of breitbart s tip Box. They will share them
Thanks, that made me smile. I agree, HE has a hand in everything and when the day is done, I give thanks and get back to the peace that comes with that knowledge.
I doubt Tuesday will be the deciding day....this has yet to reach any tipping point and Morsi is busy moving funds..you can be certain of this...he still has stall time...but those who serve with him may get booted.

That’s a thought...I should do that....keep things going til I get back...or someone do it!

Oh thank you so much...bowing ;)
See, there was always the lingering question of letting a political party govern in a “democracy!”
As we can see now, they governed a la 0b0z0, the know-nothing is destroying the country and hired KNOWN MB as ASSistants and other positions in or close to the WH. He likes the highlighted word and the proof is that he leads fromHIS behind!
Back to Egypt, the MB proved to the Egyptian people what a disaster their rule actually is! Not only for the country but also for women in particular.
IOW, the MB convinced the kind, peaceful, give-them-a-chance Egyptians TO THROW THEM OUT FOR GOOD. and that’s exactly what’s happening now in front of our eyes but not our 0blinda media!
We can all do one thing. Pray
Pray for the people of Egypt and their neighbor Isreal
Short and maybe non politically correct.
They’re showing us how to do it...ya think?
