“Baby, you were born this way.” As soon as Lady Gaga sang these words on her smash hit "Born This Way," they became a rallying cry for gay people around the world, an anthem for sexual minorities facing discrimination. The shiny, catchy song carries an empowering (if simple) message: Don’t be ashamed about being gay, or bi, or trans, or anything—that’s just how you were born. Gaga later named her anti-bullying charity after the same truism, and two filmmakers borrowed it for their documentary exposing homophobia in Africa. A popular "Born This Way" blog encourages users to submit reflections on “their innate LGBTQ selves.” Need a quick, pithy riposte against anti-gay bigotry? Baby, we were born this way.
But were we? That’s the foundational question behind the gay rights movement—and its opponents. If gay people were truly born that way, the old canard of homosexuality as a “lifestyle choice” (or “sexual preference”) is immediately disproven. But if gay people weren’t born that way, if scientists were unable to find any biological basis for sexual orientation, then the Family Research Council crowd could claim vindication in its fight to label homosexuality unnatural, harmful, and against nature.
In recent years, scientists have proposed various speculative biological bases for homosexuality but never settled on an answer. As researchers draw closer to uncovering an explanation, however, a new question has arisen: What if in some cases sexuality is caused by an identifiable chemical process in the womb?SNIP
That is one implication of one of the most widely accepted hypotheses thus far proposed. And if it’s true, it could turn out to be a blow for the gay rights movement.

A lot of problem behavior traits have a biological basis: propensity to addiction, depression, impulsivity, rage - and people should still try to rise above them and exhibit control, and those who encourage them to exert control are not bigots.
Pedophilia may well have a biological basis to some degree - a disproportionate number of pedophiles have low intelligence, short stature, low set ears - something not right there.
Sexual aggression, even to the point of rape - strong biological and evolutionary basis. Maybe not a particular gene but a suite of genes.
So what do we excuse?
Doesn’t matter any more what science finds. If the left doesn’t like it, it ignores it, or harasses the scientists who discovered a truth that they the left hates.
Drescher is skeptical that scientists will ever uncover a single biological basis for homosexuality—he suspects the root causes are more varied and complex—and suggests that it’s the wrong question to ask in the first place. But the hunt will go on.
There probably is a biological basis for this problem. Remember, it occurs in animals as well, which means the mechanism must be simple enough to operate on less developed organisms. But the hypothesis of maternal immunization has one simple explanation: the natural balancing act between males and females.
The problem is that if, for some reason, an unusually high number of males are born, they will be unable to find their female counterpart. If "extra" males are homosexual, this removes the pressure from the remaining population. For example, a fight among 70% males for 30% females could easily destroy all males if they hurt or kill each other, and then the population dies out. But if out of those 70% males only 30% are heterosexual, then the hetero females and males are matched, and the rest of the males (40%) are rendered harmless.
Typically the f/m ratios are properly set up for the species; humans have about 50/50%. This could be a backup mechanism, and I'd call it pretty clever.

That is, an imaginary scientist in one of the 76 countries that ban homosexuality, comes up with a vaccine that completely halts homosexual urges in “naturally born” homosexuals, but not in the about 17% that are “sociopathic homosexuals”. That is, indoctrinated and trained to be homosexuals.
An experiment was conducted by the country, which used its records of “known homosexuals”, to quietly detain and vaccinate them without their knowledge. And once vaccinated they were released, and seemingly spontaneously gave up on their homosexual activities and started pursuing heterosexual ones.
As a follow up, the country continued to detain its “sociopathic homosexuals” to keep them away from children they could indoctrinate and train.
The country is now quietly patenting the vaccine formula, but as a low value veterinary drug, and intends to produce and sell it to other countries to discreetly correct their homosexual population.

Imagine the hilarious hysteria that such a hoax would cause in the western world? Especially if a “followup” hoax was that several supposedly pro-homosexual western nations had ordered significant amounts of the vaccine?
From my experience with homosexuals, they are very little interested in protecting the tribe, but very interested in passing on their diseases through the tribe. And at least half of them are useless as tits on a boar with anything stressful.

Would not a tribe be strengthened by the addition of a new male setting up a family to support vs an old male looking to cohabitate with another old male. Have you met homosexuals that are more interested in society’s needs than their own? I have not, not one, not yet.

Homosexuality is a behavior. Behaviors are complex and seldom any one cause.

When I grew up long hair was the fashionable rebellion. Homosexuality is also the fashion right now and is a big part of it right now but not the only one.
That’s my take. People can be addicted to sex and it isn’t healthy. I believe anybody can develop a propensity to certain sexual desires, including homosexual ones - it’s almost a form of addiction. Unfortunately, it’s an addiction people are told to embrace, then it defines their very existence and consumes who they are. Everything is seen through the eyes of “being gay”.
Like any addiction, it isn’t healthy and should be discouraged. This is why some are able to leave the gay lifestyle, they “drop the habit” even though it is difficult. They may always have “impulses” but it is what they choose to act on, what decisions they make, that defines the outcome/consequences. Many have been able to leave it behind and lead normal lives. It’s sad, I wouldn’t *wish* gay inclinations on anyone, it certainly isn’t hate. Many abused boys grow up to be gay. Even though it is abuse, the mind has now been exposed to certain acts and they are a powerful influence.
The CDC statistics show gay men are ~40x more likely to be infected with HIV than the hetero population. A small percent of the population having lots of sex with that same small percent is going to infect a large portion of that group. It is a matter of fact. Almost all the gay men that I’ve known are the most emotionally immature people I’ve even met, their lives are constant drama (of course they’re always victims).
A true hermaphrodite would have a working set of each gender's genitalia. How common is that?
So! Homosexuality is a birth defect, not unlike a cleft palate or being born with three eyes.

If you are sick, the idea, and the moral path, is to look for a cure.
Thus, ‘gay marriage’ is out. Gay will essentially be covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act, not the 14th Amendment.

In fact, there will be a faction of homosexuals that will petition somebody over the right to pursue a cure. The Lavender Mafia has put the kybosh on most research into homosexuality as a disease.
