Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, sounding more and more like a presidential candidate in 2016, tore into President Barack Obama, calling his administration an utter and complete failure.
Bush was the keynote speaker Tuesday night at the Conservative Party of New York States 51st Annual Dinner in New York City, where he received the Charles M. Edison Memorial Award, named after inventor Thomas Edisons son, a former New Jersey governor and secretary of the Navy.
Also receiving the Charles M. Edison Award Tuesday night was Christopher Ruddy, the founder and CEO of Newsmax Media Inc. Ruddy called the award an incredible honor and also praised Bush for his leadership on a host of issues important for conservatives.
The influential third party founded by the late William F. Buckley Jr., and headed by its current Chairman Michael Long, is considered a major stop for presidential candidates, with every Republican candidate seeking its endorsement. The honoring of Bush will continue to fuel speculation the former Florida governor is running in 2016.
During this remarks, Bush didnt hint at his presidential plans, but he wasted no time jumping into the political fray, chastising the Republican Party for its lackluster performance in last Novembers elections and slamming Obama for what he called the poor economic state of the nation.

“Hmmm, thats what I called Jeb when he let Terry Schiavo die.”
Good call.
There are a good many HERE who fervently insist that both GWB and Jeb! “couldn’t do anything about it”.
There are other people out there that are very qualified and weve had enough Bushes ~ Barbara Bush 25 April 2013
I see the posturing is already active for the 2016 campaign. Jeb versus Hillary - the Beltway fat cats will be laughing and either way, we lose. No thanks.
Needless to say, Jeb Bush is stating the obvious.
But what does he offer as an alternative.
A slower death for our nation with a little less spending and a little less debt accumulating.
For sure Bush offers us amnesty and continued spying on everyone by the NSA.
Let me know when a real conservative stands up to oppose Obama.
Way too perfect a post........had to copy it and agree.
Republicans sound presidential when they start to trash their rivals and complement the democrats’ character.
Who cares what this man thinks!!!
Takes one to know one jebby!
LLS
Guess he has something in common with the Bushes.
No surprise. Cut from similar idiological trees.
Go to hell. Bush.
You are a liar and beyond hypocritical. I will never vote for you.
Push your amnesty because as you and Rubio say, it’s their right of heritage to be here so they deserve amnesty.
Yeh an utter failure just like a Jeb Bush administration would be.
Jeb vs. Christie, those are your choices. Don’t like it? Pound sand.
Love,
GOPe
No, Jeb, he’s been very successful, you jughead moron.
Chip me once, shame on you. Chip me again.................ya ya ya won’t be chipped again.
I may not vote this time. It will be the first time since I turned 21.
Juan McLame was saying all the right things about amnesty when he was campaigning for his 59th term in the Senate.
Pot, meet Kettle.
Step 1. Cheap red meat, hardball talk.
Step 2. Run in GOP Primary and decimate all Republican opponents publicly, for months with blistering attacks.
Step 3. Select a Conservative running mate to mollify Conservatives and burnish you Conservative street cred.
Step 4. Win nomination with help of GOP-e.
Step 5. Apologize for Conservatives in your Party and say wonderful things about your Democrat opponent (See Dole, McCain, and Romney.)
Step 6. Lose General election and blame Conservatives for ruining the Party and state there is no hope for the Party with Conservatives.
Have I missed anything?
Please...no more Bushes.
No more Bushes, Clintons or any other Democrites!!!
