A Democratic legislator from Minnesota swiftly apologized Tuesday for a tweet he sent that referred to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas as "Uncle Thomas" following a major ruling on the nation's landmark voting rights law.
Thomas, who is black, was part of a 5-4 majority that invalidated part of the Voting Rights Act meant to deter racial discrimination in elections. The ruling makes it tougher for federal officials to prevent states and localities, primarily in the South, from adopting policies that add barriers to voting.
In response, state Rep. Ryan Winkler tweeted: "#SCOTUS VRA majority is four accomplices to race discrimination and one Uncle Thomas. Marriage decision may blur Court's backsliding."

Apology not accepted, you liberal racist. But I repeat myself.
Fake, phony fraud.
Ryan Winkler, please pick up the all-white courtesy phone. Paula Deen would like a word with you.
The idiotic part of this is the use of “Uncle Tom” as a slur.
Uncle Tom was the protagonist of the story and truly heroic figure. The book he featured in did probably as much as any other single factor to bring about the destruction of slavery.
“As a resident of Georgia, I am glad to see the arrogantly racist policy, that of treating southern states as racist, overturned, and am especially proud it involved one of our own, the Honorable Justice Clarence Thomas.”
I hope someday blacks realize their true friends are conservatives. We’re the ones who believe in equal treatment under the law regardless of one’s skin color. We’re also the ones who want smaller government, greater economic freedom, and the right to keep what one earns. We also oppose importing millions of low wage and poorly educated aliens in order to undercut the wages of Americans.
It will be interesting to see how the Red Star-Trib softsells this tomorrow.
BS Winkler!
BS Winkler!
Has the Food Network condemned him yet?
What’s his address? I want to send him some Paula Deen goodies....
Another racist comment from the Democrat Party that’s been racist for almost 200 years? Say it ain’t so!
The local lib media is already smooching his rump with...
“Okay, he said he was sorry for saying stuff he didn’t know was racist. OK? OK?”
lol!
Indeed. Boston is the most segregated city in the country.
