Shaker Aamer, last British resident held in camp, tells of harsh regime to break strikers' resistance
Speaking last week from the camp in Cuba, exactly four months after he joined the hunger strike, Aamer said: "The administration is getting ever more angry and doing everything they can to break our hunger strike. Honestly, I wish I was dead."
Although the military initially denied that there was a hunger strike inside Guantanámo, it now concedes that, of the 166 detainees, 104 are on hunger strike and 44 are being force-fed.
Aamer describes his daily diet at Guantánamo as a cup of tea or two each day with a low-calorie sweetener and occasionally an Ocean Spray powder mix that has 10 calories enough to give an energy boost.

Foodboard’em.
I agree. Free will. If they want to stop eating, it is their choice. As long as their usual meal is provided it is up to the detainees to eat.
If hunger strikes were ignored, they would go away as a tool of protest. They only continue to use it because too many outsiders feel sympathy. I don’t fall in that group.
I once worked on a roof where there was a Thai restaurant on the ground sending out some wonderful ‘flavors.’ I would torture them with that smell.
Set up dinners in front of the cells and let them watch the guards eat three squares a day.
Let them no eat. It is the best way to break it.
Well, you see...she was a CHRISTIAN...and...
“Foodboardem.”
Pot smoke in the ventilation system.
Since they seem intent on starving themselves to death, why not just euthanize them.
That was my question as well.
It's thinking like you guys advocate that will cause the "politically correct" idiots to have a nervous breakdown.
We can only hope that's the case. Rock On!
When a fool, a scum bag, and a terrorist wants to kill himself, it is nice to step aside and watch him do it. I hope they are successful at offing themselves.
Whatta ya know, me and Aamer agree on something.

so do we
Seems I recall reading 24 days is about what it takes to starve to death. So, what's this guy's secret? What has been sustaining him the other 100 days?
String the hunger striker (terrorist) up with piano wire, make all the rest of the terrorists watch as he dies, then as the carcass is fed to hungry pigs. Ask ‘em “who’s next?” Then shave all the bastards, and burn all their unholy books.
Here is what you do:
Dig the requisite number of graves (facing the wrong way) right near a pig sty. Pipe the live pictures to the hunger striking detainees 24/7.
” Pot smoke in the ventilation system.”
Took a few seconds for that to click ... then the memories flooded in...
