A jury of six women, five of them white and the other a minority, was picked Thursday to decide the second-degree murder trial of George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer who says he shot an unarmed black teenager, Trayvon Martin, in self-defense.

B-72 sounds like a ringer for St. Skittles. ‘He said he avoids the news because he does not want to be brainwashed.’ Puh-leeeze.
Tongue in cheek for me. But I imagine many women would have the same mindset as my “quote”. IIRC, the evidence of Trayvon’s previous run-ins, facebook account, etc. can’t be used?
That jury is not of his peers.
There should have been men also to judge him.
Zimmerman is toast. Women, and I’m one, will relate more to Martin in that they will feel protective and sorry for a teen boy and think of their own rotten kid around Trayvon’s age just walking down the street yadda yadda yadda. Also women are less likely to support the second amendment and self defense with a gun.
And lets be real, white women in particular are the biggest sellouts of their race and their culture.
You’re going to have to be in the next county to get all the trucks and microwave towers in the pic.
Actually..this is not as bad a jury I thought it would be
GZ is much better off to have White women than any black juror....liberal white women are better analytically and less afraid to make a judgement than a liberal white male...liberal white males are usually sissy-boys
But, also, an all female jury will make the Black Racist community less likely to threaten and attack if they do not get their lynching....it will look bad politically if Black Racists attacked women.
This is still a Black Ku Klux Klan Lynching....but GZ got some reprieve today
Women? Zimmerman is screwed.

Sad but true.
I live a couple miles from the courthouse.
You can’t see them from your house.
I’m not trying to be offensive but like with everything in this case, you’re off by a mile. Women are way more likely to feel a relationship with a “child” being shot.
You obviously know Nothing about women. Nothing. That is ludicrous....and laughable...and very revealing. And not in a good way.
I've long thought the state's goal was a hung jury. The prosecutor's case is so weak that it would have a hard time finding jurors who would have even a 10% chance of voting to convict; to actually score a conviction would be a one-in-a-million shot.
On the other hand, while getting a 6-0 vote for conviction would be a million-to-one shot, getting a hung jury would be much closer to an even-money proposition. Such a finding wouldn't be a "win", but would allow the prosecutor a chance to drain Zimmerman's defense funds even further and maybe force him to plea-bargain.
Interesting, they sound like they could be pro defense with the exception of the Hispanic mom from Chi town.
No, I am not new here. Thanks for asking.
Anti-male bloviating? That’s hilarious! I guess you’re the kind of person who would disallow women to sit as jurors at all.
the defense may be shooting for a hung jury and then free due to double jeopardy?
*************
Does a hung jury get him off? Doesn’t it means the jury couldn’t reach an unanimous
decision which is required in this case. Thus a hung jury can result in a retrial should
the prosecution so choose but they sometimes don’t.
Those who are saying today was the first time George Zimmerman smiled and showed any emotion; the other week he was caught smiling after one of the potential jurors responded to a question from an attorney which made George smile. Megan Kelly on her program showed that.
I think so. Now it’s up to the lawyers. The most interesting part of the thread are the differing opinions of women. I like women, have five of them in my family (only one wife). The prosecution wouldn’t want the adults on the jury, not sure about the two grandkids in single digits.
Am sure someone already replied, but double jeopardy only applies with a reached verdict.
Hung jury they can keep coming after you
That’s my opinion also there should have been at least
one man on the jury.
Switch it around, if zimmerman was a woman would a jury
of all men be satisfactory to everyone?
I realize his lawyers have had their strikes and choices
and we should accept that but Peers carries some connotations as to being able to relate to the plaintif
does it not?
