There is only one way to defend a a thousand pages of indefensible legislation."We have to pass the bill before you will know what's in it."
Of course, that playbook only works when you control both bodies of the legislative branch as well as the executive.
Which is where the village idiot Rubio comes in.
They attempt to get Marco to persuade Boehner and enough house members to go over the cliff to get the legislation passed.
It is quite plain to see just how stupid Rubio is, it is very much up in the air if the speaker and enough members in the house are stupid enough to be taking instructions from Rubio.
One thing is for sure if the bill doesn't pass, the media will canonize Marco and demonize every member of the Republican house.
Much as I despise Pelosi, I have respect for her tenacity. She never.. ever.. quits the fight. And following each victory is the push for the next one. She has more stones than all "leading" Republicans combined. I only wish they had a fraction of her willingness to do battle.
Rubio has now voted against more border fencing and biometric visa tracking. Did he just pull the wrong lever by accident? Twice?
He's not stupid. He knows exactly what he's doing.
Why do we automatically assume these guys are stupid, a more likely explanation is they complicit. The reason they choose to help the enemy is open for debate, but I don't attribute their behavior to stupidity, quite the contrary, they play us like a fiddle.
