It behooved us to kind of identify whether there was any elements there within Syria fighting against Assad that we could work with—reasonable people that wouldn’t carry out human rights violations and could be part of building a new Syria. Whoa. Yeah, somewhere in that mob of screaming, homicidal fanatics there must have been a group of Boy Scouts. Let's be charitable and admit that Mr. Rubio's strength isn't in foreign relations. Or history. Or common sense.

As Freshman senators go, I liked Senator Barry better than Senator Marco.
All the blunts the Barry smoked had mellowed him out.
Marco is shamelessly seeking attention by saying anything that comes into his head without any political calculation. Rather than be mellow and pompously senatorial, he comes across as punk on a sugar high who has never visited Disney World before and in this D C is his Disney World.
When it comes to political calculations this punk is clueless.
