During his radio show on Friday, Rush Limbaugh told his listeners, “I think abortion is at the root of so much that has and is going wrong in this country.” The conservative host went on to discuss that the reason why amnesty is essential to the liberal agenda is because abortion has, since Roe v. Wade in 1973, wiped out millions of potential taxpayers. The Democrat Party, Limbaugh said, has turned to amnesty as a means to ensure a “permanent underclass” in order to continue its image as the party of big government entitlements.

My generation was taken down by falling for draft dodging, sexual promiscuity and abortion. Hardly any of us weren’t at least complicit in these. We were ‘demoralized’ in the literal sense. Some of us have faced up to it and have sought forgiveness. At lot, and I mean a lot, of us stay in little enclaves telling each other over and over that it was OK. Our current administration is an example of that echo chamber.
Rush is Right.
Yes, abortion qualifies as an abomination, no question.

There wouldn’t be abortion if it weren’t for how unmarried pregnant girls are treated. Most women would want to keep their baby but they are called sluts and the family is shamed.
I was most surprised to hear him say that. Happy surprised.
Cultural degeneracy never helped a country achieve heights. This nation has become a death-cult worshiping abortion, sexual perversion, affirmative-action and multi-cultural diversity. America has lost its way. Apparently, there are enough individuals with a lack of integrity, an absence of work ethic, a hate of meritocracy and an immersion in sexual perversion that we may be doomed. Amen. That it is. Like slavery was to our forefathers, and to our nation then, Abortion is today.
Ultimately we must address it and right the horrific wrong, or it will tear us apart.
The shaming is not without reason.
There are serious negative social consequences for bearing children outside the context of an intact family.
It’s the very reason for #7 of the Big Ten.
Interesting that the “solution” that the world values is destroying the “evidence”, ie, murdering the baby,
instead of obeying #7.
That may have been true in the 70’s, but today out of wedlock childbirth is seen as routine and even celebrated....
Another measure of how far we have fallen. It shouldn’t be taken to excess, but there is nothing wrong with a little shame over moral failings. However, it should be followed by forgiveness and mercy.
Rush is right to the extent that he addresses the issue.
Abortion is but one of the weapons of the destruction of the concept of family that is the basis for society.
God tells us exactly why we have families - to produce Godly offspring. (Malachi 2:15 - “Did he not make them one, with a portion of the Spirit in their union? And what was the one God seeking? Godly offspring.”)
And this is exactly why the left tries to destroy families - they are doing their master’s bidding.
