We can look at this in one of two ways. Maybe only 47 of the current 100 US Senators didnt know enough about the NSA surveillance programs to consider themselves fully informed and satisfied that the intelligence community doesnt cross the line when it comes to spying on Americans. Or, perhaps 53 of the current 100 US senators dont really care whether the NSA is spying on Americans at least not enough to put off plans for a long weekend:
Well, what would we expect given the level of stupidity represented in the Senate. And the rest are bought and paid for.
There was someone on one of the radio news shows who stated that it wasn’t uncommon for elected members to skip security briefings offered by the administration, as first of all the information was suspect, and secondly, anything they heard in a classified briefing would then be off the table for public discussion. I think many of them are getting their information from more trusted sources.
This underscores the point I’ve been making!!!
>> This NSA thing has no more legs than ...
That’s right. The NSA is just an instrument. Turn your focus to Congress where it belongs.
Wasn’t this a briefing by Clapper? Enough said.
Well said.
