Glenn announced this morning that Laurie Dhue is officially joining TheBlaze as anchor for TheBlaze TV News. Dhue will will continue to host For the Record, TheBlazes original documentary series and anchor prime time news updates and breaking news coverage throughout the network.
I relish this rare opportunity to be on the ground floor of an organization that could change the industry as we know it. The Blaze, a truly independent network, is ever-expanding, and an exciting phenomenon in this time of cutbacks and uncertainty, Dhue said.
Dhue is the only anchor to have hosted shows on the three primary cable news networks: CNN, MSNBC and Fox News Channel. Dhue spent nearly eight years at Fox News, where she hosted Fox Report weekend edition and appeared weekly on The OReilly Factor and Geraldo at Large. She also served as the voice of the official launch of Fox News Radio and anchored evening news updates for several years.
Before joining Fox News Channel, Dhue hosted several shows on MSNBC and served as substitute news anchor on NBCs Weekend Today Show. Dhue began her broadcasting career at CNN, working her way from entry-level to anchor in just six years, becoming one of the youngest full-time anchors in the networks history.
Throughout her 22-year career, Dhue has interviewed countless international leaders as well as politicians, celebrities and newsmakers. She has covered every major news event since the early 1990s as a writer, producer, reporter and anchor.
Joel Cheatwood, President and Chief Content Officer, said, Laurie is an incredibly talented journalist who has done amazing work both throughout her career and as host of For the Record. We are thrilled to have her join TheBlaze full time as we continue to expand our original programming.
In addition to her TV work, Dhue travels from coast-to-coast as a recovery advocate, giving speeches, moderating discussions and emceeing recovery-related events. Dhue is a surrogate for the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP).
Rumor has it she would dhue me.
Laurie has been affiliated with Alcoholics Anonymous lately, and the event had something to do with that. I seem to recall the event was the launch of a promotional video in Washington, DC, for AA. I don’t know all the details. My daughter is not in AA, but I believe she was the guest of a supporter of AA. I always liked Dhue a lot and was tickled to learn that she has it all together, and I’m so happy for her that she’s joining The Blaze. Maybe I’ll subscribe now. :)
'There was a moment one morning on March 14, 2007, where I looked in the mirror and I did not recognise the woman looking back at me. And I was sick and tired of being sick and tired, so I literally woke up and said, "That's it. It's over".'
She called an addictions specialist to guide her through the early stages of her recovery and got involved in a program for alcoholics trying to get sober.
She had spunk when she was on Fox and Friends. I rarely catch Fox and Friends during the week due to work and I can’t stand it on the weekends. Laurie was good enough to make up for the other hosts.
Beck being a former drunk, drug addict and general assclown...
And you are what, perfect?
BTW, I am perfect, just ask my dog especially after she gets a scooby snack.. / S
LOL, maybe your dog can get on the radio, maybe run for office and fix this sheite....//s
Shouldn’t she have a school name on the front of that little cheerleader outfit...............Just innocently asking, well kind of innocently :)

I'm amazed at what Glenn is putting together. He is beholden to no one and has been tackling issues that would never get past the proposal stage at the networks.
Next, I hope he can get Dana Loesch hired once her kerfuffle with Breitbart gets settled. ;-)
That should read “the 1/2 hour news updates”
God willing she stays off the sauce this time.
I have to agree about Dana, but she needs to take her ritalin and slow the hell down to be an effective orator. I can listen to, and understand Judge Pirro ... Dana needs to perfect her delivery - her message is awesome.
God bless Glenn for taking a chance on Laurie. I will join in prayer with him for her to overcome her demons. She is a very intelligent person, and he is no fool.
Do you have any knowledge of what he is accomplishing with his network? Have you watched any of it?
