“15) Long term, the only way our country can pay its bills is by asking everyone who’s not dirt poor to pay as much in taxes to the government as they’re given in services if they want to continue to receive those services. “
NO TAXES!!
Get the government to curb its ever increasing spending on NONSENSE, including silly research grants in foreign countries, cut the pay of all Congress and Senate to less than 80,000.00, put their aides on minimum wage with a tax scale, and THEN, get rid of the IRS, and institute a flat tax, with NO loopholes or deductions, with the only exclusions being disable military veterans and those who have paid into the Social Security program. If you haven’t paid into it, you don’t get it.
Some disagreements here. Itemized:
1) Even Saudi Arabia has allowed sex reassignment 425 times, as of last year. They are all performed at the Sex Correction Center at King Abdul Aziz University Hospital. The vast majority are congenital cases under 2 years of age. So yes, it is not all gay men who want to be women.
As far as people whose brains are “hard wired” as the opposite gender, therapy is utterly meaningless to them, as ineffective as thinking that therapy will cure Alzheimer’s disease. So put this down to “a medical issue” not a “basic truth”.
2-3) Credit to a lot of black poverty needs to be given to Noam Chomsky, because of his creation of “whole language” English instruction to children, and the promulgation of this anti-education by his followers. At the time it was introduced, even in segregated schools, black students were almost on a par with white students in their education. After whole language was introduced, their education collapsed.
As far as poor life choices go, the primary poverty creator is sex outside of marriage. If the poor stopped doing that, many of the poor would transcend their poverty. Illegitimate children are 60% more likely to criminally offend.
6) “Illegal aliens” or “undocumented immigrants”, should for the most part be called “Mexican citizens”. That really clears the air in the debate.
12) Calling the US a “Christian nation” is deceptive, because the variation between Christians is so great, as well as their interpretations of their faith, ceases to have meaning except in broad and general terms. It would be far better to describe America by the religions and philosophies it does *not* embrace, of which there are many.
15) Not true. Asking people to pay for national government services will never work, for the simple reason that such services have no legitimacy, and can *never* work for any length of time.
18) Again, not true. In many cases the homeless are homeless because they *want* to be homeless, not due to mental illness. But many people are incapable of realizing that not everyone wants to live like they do. For them, homelessness is incomprehensible. They offer endless support to homeless people to stop being homeless, and their offers are shunned; and this makes them resentful.
“But you don’t have to be homeless.” “But I want to be homeless.” “But you don’t have to be homeless.” A circular argument, but one in which the homeless person is *more* sane.
19) Shame has only one purpose. If you kill something for the sake of killing, no other reason, shame exists to convince you to not do it again. But feeling shame for other reasons is a waste.
20) Europe is not the end all be all of quality immigrants. The US gets top of the line immigrants from Japan, engineer-heavy India, China and Korea. If there is a problem, it is that the government is making the US a lot less desirable place for quality immigrants to want to go to.
“20) ...people from nations in Europe that shared our Western values...”
If you can find anybody like that.
“Ergo, we get the government we deserve.”

That is the main one, the fact is we as a nation are not fit for self government because we allow anyone to vote. We should only allow citizens who own property, support themselves, pay taxes, obey THE CONSTITUTION which is not necessarily the same as the statute laws, read, write and speak the English language and can demonstrate the capacity to understand the constitution to vote. I realize this will never happen and that is why the country is ALREADY lost.
“Load all the Palis who are currently on contested land into buses. When the bus gets full, drive it to Damascus and let everyone out. Repeat this until every place the Palis want is empty. Then draw your borders around it and voila, you’re done.”
As do I. However, I'm not embarrassed to say that I receive "benefits" from both social security and medicare. I'm not embarrasssed because if I had been allowed to invest the money that was withheld from my and my wife's income for our entire working lives (mid '50's - late '90's) into real estate or the stock market we would probably have earned more income from the money that was withheld than we have thus far received from medicare and SS.
That could and probably will change as I and my wife grow older and our medical expenses increase. OTOH if one or both of us die within a relatively short period of time from now a substantial portion of that paid-in money will go toward paying for someone else's SS payments and medical expenses.
I suppose that if both, or even one of us, live very much longer we could very possibly receive more from those two mandatory programs than we would have earned by investing the money that we paid in. But even so, I still see both SS and medicare as nothing more or less than socialism by other names.
Exactly.
I agree about bacon, but I disagree about feeling ashamed if one has to take advantage of certain governmental programs for which one has paid, paid, and paid in taxes after years of work.
If taking welfare is a permanent life style, I agree. But, if receiving benefits for which you have paid is a result of unemployment, medical issues, or any number of the nasty vicissitudes of life that are sometimes visited upon us, I see no reason to be ashamed.
In this sense, the shame does not mean that we condemn the action as wrong, but that the person’s own conscience knows the action is something not to be proud of, but to be ceased as soon as possible.
Shame, for lack of a better word, is good. (Paraphrasing Gordon Gecko).
Wow! Where did you come up with all of that?
It sounds like a cross between Monty Python and Sam Kinison!
Correct! For reasons I do not understand the politically correct crowd became fearful of using the word sex to describe human sexuality and resorted to an incorrect word, gender.
There are two sexes: Male and female.
Genders are unlimited, and useful to the left: Male, female, neuter, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, searching, curious...
Seriously, this is the reason.
bkmk
Can't be repeated often enough.
Amen...
We should also build low-cost housing specifically for Congress and require them to live there. That would dampen their hunger for power somewhat and also open their eyes to the reality of government subsidized programs.
11) The only practical way to make peace between the Israelis and Palestinians is for the Israelis to transfer the Palestinians and take their land. There are no "Palestinians", merely ethnically undifferentiated Arabs squatting and freeloading in Israel.
That’s the funniest response I’ve read all day.
I’d add “Granola-eating, birkenstock-wearing, yippy-dog owning anal comandos” though....

Thanks for sharing an excellent observation.
“Well heck, why stop at homosexual. Sodomite is a much more descriptive word.”
As I recall, the biblical definition of sodomy includes ANY unnatural sex act including oral sex and bestiality. That describes a LOT of people, maybe even you.
