If Paul wants the GOP to be a bigger tent party, the major way to accomplish that is with more freebies than the Dem party gives out.
And that means bigger government.
More taxes.
More spending.

Of course, the GOP could try to be a real alternative party, but that would mean developing and sticking to principles. Ironically, most of the principles that most people would want are right of center, conservative.

Those who want the most freebies will always vote Dem. Paul is deluding himself.
Like the rest of the beltway GOP he is taking the easy way out and decided they have to pass amnesty to stay relevant. Surrendering on amnesty is what this rant is all about.
