Gee the same refrain you always repeat, no, the politics didn't come "later", they were the purpose of the series and as my earlier post showed, we conservatives saw it the left saw it also, Hollywood loved the series, you never see it anywhere. You don't seem to be perceptive in regards to film entertainment.
Huh? It was hugely popular at the time among everybody. and remains hugely popular. There was a lot of blowback about it from the Left actually that they made Archie too likable. Apparently, Bill Cosby still hates it.
