The writer of this article can say this with a straight face because he is a multiculturalist and moral relativist. He doesn’t acknowledge that moral absolutes exist. In his view all cultures and religions are equal, their moral values are equally good. No religion, culture or society can be defined as superior than any other - in fact, to do so IS the ONE moral absolute these multicultural relativists believe in.
The unpardonable sin to these people is to believe that your religious and moral beliefs are correct and others wrong. Yet, somehow, the fact that they believe that THEIR view of moral relativism and multiculturalism is correct and everyone who disagrees with them is wrong - THAT escapes their notice that that is also an exceptional view. The very thing they decry in Christianity.
