Cambodian police used cattle prods to stun workers protesting over pay at a factory that makes clothing for U.S. sportswear company Nikeinjuring at least 23 women and causing one to miscarry her baby.
Police dressed in riot gear were deployed to move around 3,000 predominantly female workers who had blocked a road outside their factory owned by Sabrina (Cambodia) Garment Manufacturing in Kampong Speu province, west of the capital, Phnom Penh, in Cambodia today.
Among the 23 women injured in the incident was a two-months pregnant worker who lost her child after military police pushed her to the ground, Sun Vanny, president of the Free Trade Union (FTU) at Sabrina said.

They need some lectures from the open borders crowd, so they can understand how expecting that extra 46 cents will cause the factory to move to another poverty stricken authoritarian hellhole.
If the factories of Auschwitz camp were open today making lampshades, -someone- would quickly tell us it was immoral to throw the Jews out of work by using tariffs and most favored nation status against their products.
The Cambodian men are the ones holding the cattle prods.

Not taking sides in this protest but, wtf is a pregnant woman thinking taking part in a protest that could turn violent? A political protest or rally, no matter what it is about, is no place for children or pregnant women.
Yes, the headline should properly refer to her as a “protester” not a “worker”.
