FULL TITLE: Napalm bomb and five other devices found under bedroom floorboards of Oregon student, 17, 'who wanted to blow up high school and outdo Columbine massacre'
An Oregon teenager is accused of meticulously plotting to blow up his high school in an attack 'forged and inspired by' the Columbine shootings.
Grant Acord, 17, was arrested on Thursday night after police received a tip that he was making a bomb to blow up West Albany High School.
On Saturday, investigators found six explosives hidden under floorboards at his mother's house. The weapons included pipe bombs, Molotov cocktails, a Drano bomb, a napalm bomb and explosives made from drain cleaner.
He also had 'plans checklists, diagrams, inspirations, sources and a focus on recreating the model of Columbine, with adjustments that would make it more successful,' according to Benton County District Attorney John Haroldson.
The 1999 massacre in Littleton, Colorado, which was carried out by two Columbine High School seniors, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, left 13 dead and 21 others wounded.
'This was a very methodical process,' Haroldson said. 'He took time to even get to this point.'
Police have not yet pinpointed a motive for the plot.
Haroldson said he wasn't aware that the teen was having trouble at school, or being bullied. He was described as quiet and a loner by other students, though one student said he seemed like 'a pretty nice guy.'

Hereabouts animal control used to respond to stray dog calls. They are not armed though an officer may accompany them. They are trained and pick up any stray. The only one that had to have the help of the armed officer was rabid and that was a lot of years ago. Now police use dogs for training officers to shoot living beings and Animal Control is only good for lending out raccoon/cat traps. The trained and skilled animal catchers still work there but their duties are confined to the pound.
styrofoam and gasoline will do it.
Many posters have talked about Vaseline, heavyweight motor oil, or packing peanuts/Styrofoam added in gas........egg whites will work well too.
It doesn't take a genius to build a bomb. If you can read at a 4th grade level and bake a cake you can make a bomb.
gasoline can be jellied with a strong lye base soap is you are crazy enough to cook it

He’s creative.
Not really. Instructions on how to make bombs are all over the Internet. More like pissed off and driven.
It is some nasty stuff. It will stick to whatever it lands on, and putting water on it seems to make it flare up even more.
I used to make it when I was a kid, but I stopped when I burned a big old section of grass in the back yard. I knew I was gonna get in trouble. Sometimes I do not even know how in the heck I survived my younger years without serious injury or worse.
The article does not mention how he got caught beforehand. Did someone tip the cops off? Did he post about it on Twitter or something.
“25 years ago a movie called Heathers with ChristianSlater and Winona Ryder explored teen angst, bullying, and revenge.it ended with Ryder stopping Slater from blowing up theHS gym during a school assembly. I was described as black comedy by Siskel and Ebert who gave it two thumbs way up.I thought the reaction was nuts and this movie could drive some bullied depressed kid over the edge.I often wondered how many of these teen mass killers have watched Heathers.”
I’ve always just assumed that “Heathers” provided the direct blueprint for what Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold did at Columbine.
BTW, Slater’s character was a total sociopath in the movie. While the rest were undergoing the teen angst thing, he was a stone killer. I just watched it again a couple of months ago after seeing it when it first came out. It’s still a powerful and disturbing movie. Even more so when you realize what it has inspired in real life.
Now that's real funny right thar! Thanks.
“In Texas, if you’re in sports or band, you’re subject to a random drug test every six weeks.”
So much for being secure in your papers and your person.
Are the politicians in Austin or Washington, D.C. drug tested? How about state or federal judges? I hear the sound of crickets.
:)
Reminds me of an Onion story...Don’t worry gay kid who gets bullied, you’ll be the bully soon enough.
How did this guy learn to jellify fuel?
If he was that smart he should have been a top student there."
(Pssst, its not real hard Gas plus styrofoam...)
To cut to the heart of the matter, Liberals don't really care so much if a policy or sign or whatever is effective, it is a question of how the policy, etc. makes them feel.
You splattered the feelgood all over with a concise dose of reality, and that is an unpardonable sacrilege to those folks.
I just want everyone to know that's not me, even though when a radio news reporter says this kid's name during a newscast, it sounds like they just said my Freeper Username. </close call>
