The Kansas Republican said he was disturbed by his partys obstructionist behavior on Capitol Hill. It seems almost unreal that we cant get together on a budget or legislation, he said. No comment from him on the Rats' usual demands for compromise, but never offering to do so themselves when the shoe is on the other foot.

Asked whether he would be welcomed by the Republican Party today, Dole said, I doubt it.”
Don’t doubt it, know it.

Once there were many Democrats who would have compromised with Republicans today, but they are all gone. The socialists have taken over the party, and anyone within their party who doesn’t submit is pushed to the background and drummed out. If that happens to the GOP, there won’t be any reason for its existence. We need more people who will honor their oath to defend the Constitution and their obligations to the people who have elected them. The Doles and McCains of Washington would rather defend the club of Congress, and they hate that patriots are making that difficult for them.

Additionally, where are the calls for Democrats to compromise? They refuse. What does our side do? Just adopt the same views? That seems to be what these relics are suggesting.Let's determine what Bob 'Let's Make A Deal' Dole did while minority leader. The dem congress would want 3 billion for a project. Ole Bob would say, no deal but we can settle on 2 billion. That was ok with the dems because they would have settled for 1 bil. That's why he was never castigated by the left.

‘Where are the old time rats lamenting how their once-proud party has gone communist? Who cant understand how their party became the party of moochers, the party of the feckless victim class, the atheists, abortion enthusiasts, union pinky rings, condom-throwers, Boy Scout haters, hand-wringing college professors, Georgetown sluts, Hollywood drunks, and America-hating malcontents?
No. Only Republicans lament how their party has failed to compromise with that kind of scum.’
That is the best summation I have ever seen.

He's not a "RINO". You guys have to face it - he's the DEFINITIVE Republican. He, McCain, the Bushes, and before that, the Rockefellers have always controlled the GOP and always will.
If you go through life expecting the GOP to be conservative, you will be very unhappy.

Dole?
Isn’t that the guy who ran for POTUS?
And when he lost he started promoting VIAGRA on TV.
Very classy, Bob.

Leadership, not compromise, is the GOP problem. The conservative base is staying home election day

Bob Dole? Bob, you did the worst nationally of any Republican in my lifetime during a presidential campaign. That includes John McCain.
You lost Arizona and Tennessee, Bob. I know Gore was from the latter, but Arizona?

The current GOP ought to be closed for repairs because it lacks a vision and is unable to strike deals with Democrats, Dole said during an appearance on Fox News Sunday. A badly needed fixing. Striking deals with the enemy is the reason the Republican Party has no vision.

Bush bent over to appease the Dims so that they would ‘like’ him, and he is still blamed by the Dims for everything.
