Politico Reporter: IRS Targeting of Tea Party 'Easily Influenced' 2012 Election
Newsbusters ^ | May 22, 2013 | 19:51 | Jack Coleman

The signs keep accumulating that the IRS scandal is worse than liberals are willing to concede.

On Bill Press's radio show yesterday, a reporter with left-leaning Politico told Press that the Internal Revenue Service dragging its feet on applications for tax-exempt status from tea party groups probably affected the outcome of last year's election. (Video after the jump)

Here's what Politico's Lauren French told Press (audio) --

PRESS: So, Lauren, you've been covering this IRS scandal. How big is it really? How serious is it really, do you think?

FRENCH: I think it's really serious, depending on the groups that were targeted, you could say that this easily influenced the 2012 election. A lot of these groups' applications were delayed to the point that they weren't able to get their tax-exempt status until after the election and depending ...

One can't help but wonder if liberals are secretly ecstatic over what the IRS did, though they would never admit it. The scofflaws at the agency who targeted the tea party did more than make news with this scandal. They may have altered history.

Basically, by not voting for Romney. You helped get Obama elected. WHO did you vote for? By the way? Ron Paul probably.

I agree with you, in general. However, there is nothing stopping anybody from phoning up the electoral district to find out who the candidates are and then phoning the candidates for their flyers on their positions.

So you cannot show where a non obama vote gets counted in Obama’s vote total right? Right. So you are just hazzing a tizzy because you want to get attention right? Right.

Does not matter who I voted for. It was not Obama. You fail.

They may have altered history.

If it had turned out that George Bush had conspired with the conservative members of SCOTUS then what happened in 2000 would be just as bad as what Obama pulled off in 2012. A complete violation of the public trust.

From a wiki source:

"The concept of the public trust relates back to the origins of democratic government and its seminal idea that within the public lies the true power and future of a society; therefore, whatever trust the public places in its officials must be respected."

We now know why all the experts had 2012 outcome wrong.

Ok, re-do the Election this November!!!

Yeah.... but if Obama won, they would insist on FOUR more years.

Does anybody here think Bonehead and the GOPe’s were disappointed
more Tea Party conservatives were not sent to DC in the 2012 elections?

No, you fail. You have no credibility, you are a joke.

Instead of trying to get Obama out of office by voting for the ONLY person that had a chance of beating him. You vote for Ron Paul, or some other joke candidate. Because you don’t believe Romney is a “perfect” conservative.

Anyways, I’m done talking to you. You just keep proving to me that you’re a closet liberal. Hope you’re glad you helped get Obama elected.

In regards to the tea party, I think it was a full targetting. No precision.

I'd still be curious to see it investigated, Soros and his ilk specialize in this kind of evil.

And Limbaugh tells his audience to go easy on the IRS.

>I hope that people are pissed enough to remember this in 2014.

Well, negativity goes a long way in a bad market.

Clinton had a good market at the end of the 90’s and if it weren’t for Al Gore’s extremely boring nature, someone might have beaten Bush. After 2014, it will be up to the Republicans to stuff Obama with every rollback under the sun until he signs them. Let Obama reach across the isle a few times.

If we can primary a few big names that will help too.

I just hope this country doesn’t get violent. If Obama gets in A LOT of trouble, like impeachment, the low info’s will take it as a racist attack and go nuts.

Cool your jets n00b.

If Nevada wasn’t a swing State this time around, I wouldn’t have voted for Romney either.

Funny, I listen to him every day, including today, never heard him say such a thing.

Got quotes and links?

I have come to accept that people felt they had to vote for Romney. But for people to defend him after everything that has happened, like this guy, just amazes me.

"If conservatives had come out to vote, like their lives depended on it, we’d also have a more conservative House and Senate, and possibly the Presidency."

There's one way to ensure conservative turn-out...run conservative candidates!! No more RINOs, no more Rudy McRomneys, no more nominees/candidates picked my the lamestream media. Pick principled conservatives with the guts, brains and backbones for a fight, and we'll win every time. Run more Insane McCains, more Romneys, more Scott Browns, and so forth, and we'll get our a**es handed to us again and again.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

Yeah, I was sick having to give my vote to him, but Nevada was a swing State, a second term of bammie has not betrayed my expectations/fear of exactly what I thought it would be.

The lesser of two libs is truly evil, oy...what to do?

I’ve always maintained a position to get the most conservative candidate, fight for them, but get and vote regardless.

When you don’t vote, or lodge a protest vote, you are taking yourself out of the market for cosideration by the Republican party. Why would they consider your opinion when you’ve told them that you will not vote them?
