Don't forget, Obama can also pardon her for all crimes.
I'm not entirely sure he can for unspecified and unconvicted crimes.
Senior Executive Service
Question to ask at hearing... to Shulman, Lerner and every person questioned.. “How many times did you meet with Homeland Security staff or directors? Or communicate with them and what were the topics of discussion?”
Lindsey Graham was one of the Clinton Impeachment prosecutors, very conservative. He was likely castrated shortly after the Senate vote.

Ahh ..... a gelding! That explains a lot.
So. That would keep the lid on it. Just like he did for Holder.
Actually; no, it wouldn’t keep a lid on it; it would blow the lid off. Obama said he didn’t know what was going on at the IRS. If he were to now claim executive privilege, it would be an admission that he did know; and, if he did know, he would be admitting guilt to who knows how many felonies.
So, what you are saying is that she may be a half-@$$ed liar who is up $#!+ creek without a paddle.
Did I restate that correctly?
Southerners know the difference between being busy and running around like a chicken with ones head cut off from the farm life..
Northeners mistake a slow temperment with a slow brain, actually it is a deep life experience that makes one relax and evaluate before leaping...
not all things are solved by who reached the parking spot first...LOL!!!!
Hey, it worked for Susan McDougal!
He probably can. Ford famously pardoned Nixon for any federal crimes Nixon "committed, or may have committed." True, that blanket, may-have-committed pardon was never tested in court, but one big reason why not is that federal prosecutors guessed that the pardon was valid.
I'd LOVE it if Obama were to pardon any of the IRS folks in the near future (as opposed to doing so as he leaves office, a la Bill Clinton with Susan McDougal, Marc "Eric Holder Is My Bagman" Rich and countless others). Such a pardon would be a blatant coverup effort and result in instant impeachment. Even if the Senate failed to convict, I'm guessing that every Democrat acquittal vote would be a huge political millstone around that Democrat's neck.
In addition, anyone thus "prospectively pardoned" CAN be compelled to testify, on pain of contempt, because he or she no longer faces any federal crimes for whatever they might say. (I suppose there may be state laws at issue.)
No, it doesn’t just apply to questions. And if it did, Issa nailed it shut when he asked her about the contents of document, she looked at it, and she answered. She is toast. It is beyond my comprehension that she and her lawyer were so totally incompetent. Is there a method to their incompetence? That’s always the question, I guess.
