Fun from MSNBCs early afternoon news bloc of programming via Noah Rothman. The logic is ironclad and inexorable: Doug Shulman, appointed IRS commissioner by Bush in March 2008, was so fiercely loyal to his Beltway Republican masters that he decided to risk his career to kneecap conservative insurgents nonprofits in 2010
even though Bush had left office more than a year before and the GOP establishment he represented was widely loathed by pretty much everyone in America. Oh, and even though (again per Rothman) Shulman himself has donated to the DNC in the past. Say it with me, guys: This. Is. A. Republican. Scandal.
Reread my post, junior. I didn’t say Rush was wrong about big gov’t, just that is no reason to let these girls and guys off the hook. I even gave an analogy that even you can understand.
Hatred? Not I. But it seems it is you who hates logic and who (I’ll be generous) borders on ‘stupid’.
You better get home now. I think I hear your Momma callin’
Funnily enough, that is vaguely plausible. Such a thing would have been organized by Rove however, and I doubt he could come up with anything that shrewd.
You so cute. Go kiss yourself.
“This. Is. A. Republican. Scandal.”
I would not be a bit surprised. The GOP fears The Tea Party!
Dear Noah,
An Alex Jones called and said you were too crazy for him.
Just thought you’d like to know.
Wise words, FRiend.
I concur; there is a reason the government status quo continues, and Republicans are the primary reason.
I remember when it happened. I was listening to a repeat driving home from work and my jaw hit the floor.
I still listen sporadivly but now it’s with a VERY critical ear. As I said, I love his stuff. He is way right most often. But I refuse to take straight up him without filtering him through the ‘GOP’ filter.
I am with you on this. I remember listening to the Godfather back in 1989 or so. Back then he was cutting edge.
Fast forward to 1996. He became GOP-e and recounted endless tales of how important he was to the incoming freshmen Congressional Class.
Bastard.
Those of us that have been in the trenches since that time (and I am one) don’t recognize why we have to genuflect at the golden EIB microphone.
He really needs to buy an effing clue.
Oh, reverting to the old “It’s Bush’s fault!” template for this, after saying “It’s Romney’s fault!” over Benghazi.
They know some of you so very well. Be strong out there.
Makes you wonder why Obama did not get rid of some appointed by Bush. He is using keeping them to his advantage. This has Obama all over it maybe she has anew swiss bank account from Obama and his wall street cabal.
After Bernanke further mucks up the economy they will say he was a Bush appointee and nit mention that Obama kept him on.
So how did it help the Republicans. If this was their idea
then I just don’t know what to say but how stupid.
“So how did it help the Republicans. If this was their idea
then I just dont know what to say but how stupid.”
It didn’t necessarily ‘help’ the Republicans but they were trying to ‘hurt’ The Tea Party by doing the IRS investigations.
The GOP-e fears The Tea Party and would do just about anything to destroy it.
Rush is a tool of the GOPe. Deal with it.
Well that is just stupid because some people will identify the Tea Party with Republicans so if you soil the Tea Party
you are soiling the Republicans. I notice when I see comments about the Tea Party they are affiliated or lumped together with the R’s at least with low information or Obama voters. I am registered as a Republican and I identify with the Tea Party movement and I will be called a Rethug, Teabagger oh and a right wing Nazi.
Time for a 3rd Party—The GOP is compromised by RINOs. Our British Cousins have shown us the way—UKIP we need an Independent Party Here—let the Tea Party be the foundation of a new Movement! A new Constitutional party—nation wide. The old pridime is gone. Vote GOP and waste your vote. Watch as the CP soon out polls the GOP. maybe Rush is right—he has been used too much by the Vichy Republicans.
Maybe that’s the reason zero kept some Bush appointees. So, when the crap hit the fan with all the scandals - he could easily point the finger back at Bush.
That makes perfect sense, I’m amazed that I didn’t see it myself, thanks.
