Tornadoes travel at about 30 mph. Some travel twice that speed. I have observed this with my own two eyes a couple of times in Texas. But cars travel at high speeds and when you drive at a right angle to the tornado track at 60 mph it takes you exactly 2 minutes to exit a two mile wide tornado track if traffic allows. Life is about choices. I would choose to exit the track given any kind of warning if I was in the track without good cover. I think this is logical and really don’t see what the argument is about to tell you the truth.
Sounds like you are assuming that the roads will be clear of all traffic, emergency vehicles, etc. Not a good assumption... What if 1,000 others think like you do and all hit the road at the same time?
